Lake previously spent time with the Gamecocks during one of the program’s most successful eras, and now returns to help develop the next generation of talent while overseeing one of the nation’s premier baseball camp operations.

Shon Carson didn’t need many touches, he just needed one.
With South Carolina trailing North Carolina 13-10 early in the fourth quarter of the 2015 season opener, Carson took a sweep to the edge, turned on the jets, and was gone. 48 yards to the house. No one was catching him.
That burst of speed gave the Gamecocks a 17-13 lead, and it stood as the game-winning touchdown in Charlotte. Carson finished with 75 rushing yards on just four carries, making every touch count.
