Congrats to who also received his Blue Belt yesterday at the Atlanta Open. Will took 🥇 by displaying solid takedowns and positional control with progression. During the matches he stayed calm and collect and was extremely coachable with in his corner. 🔥
Congrats to - one of Odyssey’s newest Blue Belts. Andrew competed at his first ADCC Open yesterday winning 4 matches, 2 via Submission (RNC) and 2 on points taking 🥇 - earlier this year he competed in some local events challenging himself in the intermediate division and taking 🥇in that as well. Great room, great energy, great work.
Yesterday we had over 40 people on the mat with Taza working through defensive acumen for the ADCC ruleset. The focus was simple but important: stay safe, avoid giving up points, understand the scoring windows, and make better decisions under pressure.
Everyone came ready to learn, train, and level up. Huge thank you to Oliver Taza for sharing the details and helping the room sharpen up before the weekend.
We’re back at it today with another session at 12:00 PM.

Mario is the definition of consistency.
Three times a week, every week, he shows up, puts in the work, and finds ways to get better. He’s one of the smaller guys in the room, but you would never know it by the way he trains. Mario is tenacious, fearless, and constantly seeks out the toughest rounds in the room regardless of size.
Over the last 2+ years with us, Mario has built a seriously strong pressure passing game and become a great example of what consistent training can turn into.
He’s also a dedicated father of three with a demanding job, yet he still makes it to class. No excuses.
Nice job Mario on receiving your blue belt!
