The South Fulton Running Partners is pleased to be able to honor Jerome Scales by hosting the 2026 Jerome Scales run with the Atlanta Track Club , Big Peach Running Co. and Big Rome RunningJoin us at Big Peach South Fulton on Saturday May 2 at 8am.
The Jerome Scales Southside 5 Miler was created to honor Jerome’s legacy and his impact on the running community. That commitment remains at the heart of this event.
Due to scheduling challenges with Atlanta Track Club partners and the jurisdictions involved, the 2026 Jerome Scales Southside 5 Miler will shift to a virtual format, with optional in-person group run opportunities on Saturday, May 2. All registered participants are invited to complete the distance at one of several optional, informal group runs hosted by Atlanta Track Club and South Fulton Running Partners.
Atlanta Track Club’s commitment to honoring and preserving Jerome Scales' legacy and uplifting the Southside running community remains unchanged.
Registration will reopen in mid-April for Atlanta Track Club members to sign up for the virtual event for free, as part of the Grand Prix Series. Participants will still be able to earn Grand Prix participation points by completing the distance virtually. Instructions on how to submit your self-recorded time will be emailed to participants closer to May 2.
