Only one week left until competition. Our students have been practicing extra over the past couple months to prepare for competition. We have students competing in sparring, flag sparring, board breaking, open forms, and padded sword sparring.

Competition is a great way to test skills, take on new challenges, build self-confidence and discipline, and make new friends.

A big part of what we teach are leadership skills. As our students progress though the ranks they are challenged more with opportunities to step up and lead.

Alijah recently got to green belt and had enough initiative to be given the role of “team leader”. Today he led the student stretching and warmups to begin class.
