Do you ever start a task, only to get stuck into random thoughts like, “I need to buy groceries” or “Oh, I should reply to that e-mail”? Distractions don’t always come from the outside- sometimes, they come from our own minds!💡 Keep a “Later List” nearby while working. Whenever a thought pops up that isn’t related to your task, write it down and get back to work.Why? The Danger of Comparing Yourself to Others”

Comparison—it’s something we all do, but let’s be honest: it’s a trap. Here’s why:

When you compare yourself to others, you’re not seeing their full story. You’re comparing your behind-the-scenes to their highlight reel. And what happens? You feel like you’re not enough. Not successful enough, not happy enough, not anything enough.

But here’s the truth: comparison steals your joy and distracts you from what really matters—YOUR journey.

Think about it:
🔸 You’re running your own race, but looking at someone else’s lane will only slow you down.
🔸 You don’t know the struggles they’ve faced or the work they’ve done to get where they are.
🔸 Their success doesn’t take away from yours.

Instead of comparing, try this:
âś… Focus on your growth. What have you accomplished?
âś… Set your own goals based on what makes YOU happy, not what others are doing.
âś… Celebrate others without letting it diminish your worth.

Remember, the only person you should compare yourself to is who you were yesterday. That’s the real competition.

Did you know that the way you talk to yourself can change how you feel? Here’s a simple cognitive technique to try: reframing negative thoughts.

We all have moments when our inner voice sounds like a harsh critic. But what if you could turn that critic into a supportive coach? Here’s how:

đź§  Step 1: Catch the negative thought.
Example: “I can’t do anything right.”

🔄 Step 2: Challenge it.
Ask yourself: “Is this 100% true? Or am I being hard on myself?”

✨ Step 3: Reframe it.
Replace the negative thought with something realistic and constructive:
👉 Instead of “I can’t do anything right,” try, “I made a mistake, but I’m learning and improving.”

Why does this matter? Reframing helps you shift from self-doubt to self-compassion, making room for growth and confidence.
