Finally caught a break in the fishing & put together a limit of mahi in the first hour this morning. Hopefully a good sign to come!

Coming up on the time for your inshore mahi trips, we will run these through end of Sept. Also September through October are historically the best months for tuna chunking, lock in some dates!!

A few more trips in this week but when we headed back to the same area that had been holding Tunas for us we found they had disappeared. So we changed gears to target mahi and tile fish over the next few days.

Capt.PJ Mecca had the 31’ out on the mahi grounds and found a limit for his crew! Now’s the time to book these inshore mahi trips !! We have availability on both boats.

The past few weeks we’ve seen tougher fishing, plus a motor issue that had us down for a few days. Still putting some catches together though with mahi, tilefish & bottom fishing inshore.

Yesterday we went a totally different direction and found a few! Our first yellowfins in a while along with an over bluefin & a pile of mahis, had a few other bites that pulled off as well.

About time for our inshore mahi trips!

Great bluefin fishing close to home! Yesterday morning we had 6 bites landing 5 before 830AM!

Got a little crowded so we switched and picked a few mahis off the pots then dropped on some bottom putting a few different fish in the box.

Last week we fished our first tournament of the year. Was definitely a grind as we were strictly bigeye fishing, with only a few around it made for some tough fishing.

Day 1 we had our shot, big bite that ripped pretty good but unfortunately pulled off after we had him 30 ft under the boat up and down.

Each day we managed to catch a few yellowfins by accident, we took some to the scales but didn’t make the cut. That’s tournament fishing though! Better luck in the next one & congrats to our friends that took some money home!

Headed in a different direction yesterday with Charlie & Lauran (who missed the dock pic to dodge the rain) hoping to land on some promising reports from the morning, took a bit but we had a couple shots at them before dark - boxing 5 and releasing a bunch of rats. Beautiful night but not much around in the lights. Next morning on the troll, flat calm and plenty of boats, with only a rat bite we made the decision to top off the box with tiles & one drift is all it took!

We have 1 last minute spot for JJ Fish Week Atlantic City to fish with us
3 days of bigeye fishing!

Had to do some searching around this morning before finding life that had some fish with it. Stuck with it and made our bites count going 4/4 on some good size yellowfin. Best part of the day was we didn’t see any rain until we were half way home!
