United States of America WKA-Mat Sports Appointment 2026

TEAM USA is recruiting for the WKA World Championships!
If you placed in the Top 8 of 2026 NASKA World Tournament divisions for black belt or under belt, then you have qualified and have been selected to represent the United States of America as a team member of the 2026 WKA Mat Sports Team.
This year's World Championships will be October 23-25, 2026 in Fruitland Maryland, USA! The Crown Sports Center.
Serving as the President for the USA Mat Sports gives me great pride to extend to you an official invite to be a representative of our team. Mark Russo serves as the Vice President and Vince Little serves as the Team Director. We will jointly organize, delegate and provide Coach(s)for the United States Team.
Travel and Hotel Accommodations
As coaches, organizers, and leaders for the USA Team, we want to allow our members the freedom to book their own travel arrangements, as we know many of you would like to turn this into an extended family trip.

The team is required to stay together at one of the chosen facilities.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make the 2026 Amerikick International Karate Championships such an incredible success!

To our athletes — thank you for bringing your talent, determination, sportsmanship, and incredible energy to the competition floor.

To our coaches, instructors, parents, families, and teams — thank you for the countless hours of training, traveling, encouraging, and supporting your athletes. You are such an important part of what makes this event special.

And to our amazing tournament staff, judges, scorekeepers, coordinators, volunteers, and everyone behind the scenes — we could not do this without you. Your hard work, professionalism, and dedication kept the tournament running smoothly and created an amazing experience for everyone.

Most importantly, thank you to the entire sport karate community for coming together from near and far to compete, support one another, make memories, and celebrate the martial arts we all love.

You ALL made the 2026 Amerikick Internationals a weekend to remember. We are grateful for every one of you, and we can’t wait to see you again - Save the Date August 26-28, 2027
