After a lot of thought, discussions and tears, Blake and I have decided that it’s time to bring our journey at Atomic Motor Raceway to an end.

It’s hard to put into words what this place and the people in it have meant to us over the last 11 seasons. To every single person who has supported us, on and off the track, in the stands, online and everywhere else I don’t know about, THANK YOU. You are the reason we kept going as long as we did. The support, the friendships, the laughter and the love along with the amazing nights of racing is something we will carry with us always. When we bought the track, we had no idea how much our little family would grow and for that I am eternally grateful.

We are incredibly proud of what we have built here, the new racers we were able to help get in a car and see their smiles at the end of the race makes my heart happy, the amount of people we were able to help with the 50/50 drawings, the memories made with the Austin Welch Kids Appreciation Days, the amount of candy given out is insane! I will always stand by the fact that we have the best drivers and fans, you are what made this decision so difficult for us.

To my officials and track help. I’ve tried many times to express what you mean to me, I don’t think I’ve ever been able to fully convey exactly how I feel. Shanda & Stu, you two have been my right and left hands, I honestly could not have done this without either of you. Thank you is not enough! Aiden, this last season would not have happened had it not been for you stepping up and learning to flag. You did amazing and I can’t thank you enough! Johna, Dylon B, Nate, Dylan S, Addie, Jen, Jeanne, Charlie, Kayman…the time you gave us means so much to me. Thank you to all of you for standing by us, stepping up when you saw a need and took on some of my responsibilities to make my job easier. I love you all!

What’s next for the track? We are currently open to suggestions! We would like the track to continue on so if you have anybody in mind, send them our way. JUST TO BE CLEAR…we are not looking to sell the property, we only want to lease it out to someone who loves racing as much as we do.

Until we meet again, keep chasing that checkered flag!

TO THE ONES IN THE STANDS.

Not every story at the racetrack belongs to the driver.

Some of them belong to the people sitting in the stands.

The moms who hold their breath every time the cars come around turn four.

The dads who know every detail of the car, even when they aren't the ones turning the wrenches.

The grandparents who wouldn't miss a Saturday night for anything.

The kids who are watching their heroes, dreaming that one day it'll be their turn.

The friends who show up, week after week, just to be there.

And the families who have made the racetrack their second home.

They cheer.
They worry.
They celebrate.
They pray.

They sit through the heat, the dust, the long nights, and the races that don't always go the way they hoped.

Because when you love someone who races, you're a part of this sport, too.

You may never climb into a race car. You may never take a checkered flag.

But you're part of every memory made here.

And someday, when the engines are quiet and the grandstands are empty, these are the nights you'll wish you could have back.

So here's to the ones in the stands.

The ones who make it all mean something.

What an ending to an awesome season! Thank you everybody who came out for Championship Night and every night this season! I’ve said it once, I’ll say it a million times, we have THE very best drivers and fans! 👏👏👏

It’s race day and Championship Night! You’re not gonna wanna miss this! Gates open at 5, Racing at 7!

How much fun were those double mains Saturday night‽ Mother Nature tried to win but we battled it out and finished first! Hahaha! Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a great night! Thank you to all the drivers, even though it was a long night for some, a long wait time for the lower classes and a lot of laps for all the mods….You guys put on a great show! Thank you!! 👏👏👏👏👏

I’ve got to give a special thank you to our announcer, Stu. This man…he had a heart attack earlier this year and bruised his butt falling down my stairs at the last race which he’s still healing from but when the #2 Street caught fire Saturday night, where was he? Running down the front straight with the fire extinguisher! He’s amazing and we are truly blessed to have him here. Thank You Stu, I talk a lot but I don’t have the words to express how much you mean to us out here ❤️
