🧡🏁 MEET THE PEOPLE BEHIND MPR MOTORSPORTS 🏁🧡

We’ve gained quite a few new faces around here lately, so we figured it was probably time to introduce ourselves! And since today happens to be our 6th wedding anniversary, what better day to do it?! 🥹🧡

We’re Matt & Sonya — husband and wife, best friends, partners in crime, and the two crazy people behind MPR Motorsports. 😂🏁

We’ve been together for 12 years and married for 6, and somewhere along the way we figured out that our two favorite things actually go together pretty darn well…

💥 Matt has a HUGE love for the demolition derby community.

🎉 I have a HUGE love for throwing a good party.

And BOTH of us love nothing more than getting all of our family and friends together and making memories.

So naturally we thought…

Why not throw REALLY BIG parties where people smash cars?! 😂💥

And somehow, MPR Motorsports was born. 🧡

But what started as our thing has turned into something so much bigger.

We wanted to create events where Dad can come watch the derby, Mom can shop the vendors, the kids can run around and have the time of their lives, friends can meet up, families can spend the whole day together, and our drivers can do what they love.

Because at the end of the day, MPR has never just been about racing.

It’s about family. Community. Giving back. Making memories. And bringing people together.

Our actual family and friends are a HUGE part of making these events happen, but somewhere along the way, all of YOU became part of that family too. 🥹

You guys show up. You share our stuff. You bring your kids. You race with us. You volunteer. You sponsor us. You cheer us on. And occasionally you tolerate some of my wild ideas. 😂🤷‍♀️

And we wouldn’t want it any other way.

So to all of our OG MPR crew — thank you for riding with us. 🧡

💥🚗 DEMOLITION DERBY DRIVERS — WHO’S READY TO BRING THE HAVOC?! 🚗💥

We’re getting closer to Jacklyn Contracting Halloween Havoc and we want to know… WHO’S BUILDING?! 👀🔧

Remember — Demolition Derby does NOT require pre-registration! Derby drivers will register AT THE EVENT. 🏁

And don’t forget about Trunk-or-Treat from 2–3 PM! 🎃🍬 We’d LOVE to see our drivers decorate their cars/pit areas and pass out candy to the kiddos. Candy is highly encouraged, but not required!

🎃 SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17TH
📍 Eastern Michigan State Fairgrounds — Imlay City, MI
🚪 Gates Open: 12 PM
🍬 Trunk-or-Treat: 2–3 PM
💥 Racing Starts: 4 PM

4 & under — FREE

This year, Halloween Havoc is about more than wrecking cars and putting on one heck of a day for our community.
