After a full day of Magic Kingdom magic, my body was asking for something different today. 🤎✨
My energy is a little lower, my feet are tired, and my hamstrings are definitely feeling yesterday’s adventures.
So this morning, I turned to yin.
One of the things I love most about yin yoga is how healing it feels. Instead of pushing harder, it invites us to slow down, breathe, and give our bodies the time and space they need to recover. The long holds help release tension, restore mobility, and bring a sense of calm that goes far beyond the physical.
Today’s practice was only about 10 minutes, but it was exactly what I needed.
A gentle reminder that movement doesn’t always have to be intense to be effective. Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is slow down, listen, and let our bodies receive.
Now I’m feeling more open, more grounded, and ready to see what Animal Kingdom has in store for us. 🌿🦒✨

This morning’s yoga studio was… the Airbnb closet. 😆
Yesterday was so much fun, but my feet were definitely feeling all those Disney miles. The toe stretch was spicy, but exactly what my body needed.
Today is Josephine’s birthday, and we’re off to Magic Kingdom! ✨🏰🎂
Was I tired? Yes.
Did I want to stay in bed? Also yes.
But 20 intentional minutes now means more energy, more patience, and more magic later. Because when you’re celebrating your granddaughter’s 5th birthday at Disney, MamaRita has to be ready to keep up. 💕✨
💪🌎 Greetings from EPCOT!

Move. Breathe. Grow. 🌱✨
🤎 Another vacation timelapse.
Today we’re heading to Epcot, and I knew my body would thank me for 20 intentional minutes of movement before a full day of adventure.
Nothing fancy. Just a quick practice to wake up my body, boost my energy, and help me show up for the memories ahead.
20 minutes. Intentional. Necessary. ✨
🤎🌿
🤎 The reason I move has changed.
There was a time when I worked out on vacation because it gave me more energy and helped me enjoy my travels.
Today, my why is much bigger.
After adopting my granddaughter, Josephine, I became even more aware of how precious time is. Being her MamaRita is one of the greatest blessings of my life, and it has given me a whole new perspective on taking care of myself.
I want to be healthy and strong for the years ahead. I want to be present for the milestones, the adventures, the laughter, and all the ordinary moments that become the sweetest memories.
Every workout is a reminder that I’m not just caring for the body I have today—I’m investing in the future. A future where I can continue showing up for Josephine with energy, strength, and joy.
Growing older is a gift. Being healthy enough to fully embrace it with my granddaughter is the goal. 🤎✨

The destination can wait. I’m enjoying the journey.
As someone who teaches mindfulness, it’s funny how often life reminds me that the practice doesn’t just happen on a yoga mat. Sometimes it happens in the passenger seat, watching the clouds roll by, listening to the people you love, and appreciating the moment you’re in.
Today I’m choosing presence over rushing, gratitude over hurry, and the journey over the destination. 🌿

Baby Grasshopper is a pose that reminds us that strength and flexibility can exist at the same time.
This twisting posture helps open the chest and shoulders, improve spinal mobility, strengthen the legs and core, and stretch the hips and glutes. It challenges your balance, focus, and coordination while encouraging you to stay grounded as you grow.
One of my favorite things about this pose is that it teaches us to find stability in the middle of a challenge. We don’t have to be perfect. We just have to keep showing up.
Move. Breathe. Grow. 🤎

Bruce trusts everyone.
Frida trusts no one… until she decides you’re one of her people.
One is all play.
One is all sass.
Perfect balance. ❤️😂
Some reminders find us exactly when we need them.
I spent so many years believing I needed to push harder, do more, and somehow become “better” before I could feel proud of myself. But yoga has taught me something different.
Progress isn’t always loud.
Healing isn’t always visible.
And growth doesn’t always happen at full speed.
Sometimes the practice is trusting that where you are right now is enough.
So today, give yourself a little grace. You’ve made it through things you once thought would break you.
Slow down, you’re doing fine. 🤎

My yoga journey has been full of stress, doubt, fear, and every excuse that told me, “You can’t do yoga.”
For the first 35 years of my life, I couldn’t even touch my toes.
I used to think my lack of experience, my autoimmune journey, and all the challenges I faced disqualified me from being a teacher. Now I realize those are the very things that allow me to connect with and help others.
What changed? I kept showing up.
Yoga isn’t for flexible people. Yoga is for people willing to begin.
If you’ve ever thought, “Yoga isn’t for me,” then I might be the teacher you’ve been looking for, because I truly understand what it feels like to start from where you are.
