Boots on the Ground Dance Co. is back with us TONIGHT, and whether you’ve been dancing all season or you’ve been thinking about finally giving line dancing a try, come on down.

Come early, grab a bite and a drink, meet some new people, and then hit the dance floor!

👢 6:00–7:00 PM — Beginner Line Dance
🎶 7:00 PM–Close — Open Dance

Never line danced before? You are absolutely welcome. No partner needed, no experience required, and nobody cares if you miss a step. That’s part of the fun.

👢 BOTG HAS A HOME… and I need your help!

I’ve been quietly working behind the scenes on something pretty big for Boots on the Ground…

We officially have a website!!!

And before I start shouting about it from the rooftops, I want YOU to take it for a test drive because I created it for YOU :)

This site is being built to become the home for all things BOTG — classes and events, beginner resources, dance tutorials, Boots & Banter Podcast, our community, BOTG Plus coming soon, and eventually even more ways to find places and people to dance with.

But here’s what I really want to know:

Does it make sense?

When you land on the site, do you know where to go? Can you find what you’re looking for? Is anything confusing? Is there something you expected to find that isn’t there?

And please — don’t worry about hurting my feelings. 😂 I’d much rather find the confusing stuff now than six months from now.

🤠 Been wanting to try line dancing but have NO idea where to start?

Start here. 👢

This Thursday, I’m teaching a Beginner Line Dance Workshop designed specifically for people who are brand new—or who just want a little more confidence with the basic steps.

We’ll slow it down, break down the foundational steps, put them together into dances, and have a whole lot of fun doing it.

And we keep this class small on purpose so every dancer gets more individual attention, help with the steps, and a chance to learn without feeling lost in a big crowd.

No partner needed. No experience needed. And absolutely no need to worry about getting every step right.

That’s kind of our thing at BOTG. 😉

When you gave 110% at line dancing and now your boots are officially OFF. 😂🐾

Charlie would like everyone to know that recovery is an important part of the training program.

✔️ Feet up
✔️ Belly out
✔️ Zero regrets
✔️ Absolutely no intention of practicing that one step he kept messing up

Honestly, we could all learn something from Charlie.

Miss a step. Keep dancing.
Have fun.
Then go home and collapse dramatically on the couch. 😂

3 things you should NEVER do when you’re a new line dancer (or even not so new).

I remember exactly where I was.

I remember hearing the news. I remember watching in disbelief, trying to understand what was happening. And I remember how, in a matter of hours, the world suddenly felt very different.

September 11, 2001 is one of those days that divided time into before and after.

25 years later, I still remember.

Today, I’m thinking about the lives that were lost, the families whose lives changed forever, and the first responders and ordinary people who showed extraordinary courage in the middle of unimaginable circumstances.

And I remember something else, too — how people came together. How neighbors looked out for neighbors. How, for a little while, our differences seemed much smaller than the things we shared.

May we never forget the lives lost.
May we never forget the courage.
And may we never forget how much we need one another.

🇺🇸 September 11, 2001. Never forgotten.
