The Auburn Mile is a one-mile race for competitive runners, first-timers, families, and everyone in between — kicking off Fourth of July morning right before the parade.

The course starts at Auburn Running Company, rolls through Central Square, threads past Placer High School and School Park, drops to Gold Country Fairgrounds, then turns back uphill to a finish line you'll hear from a block away.

Net downhill. A few hills to make you earn it. Crowd lined streets the whole way!

Just added to the Auburn Mile: Age Graded Team Challenge.
Here's why it's cool — a 62-year-old and a 19-year-old can be equally valuable teammates. Age grading adjusts each runner's time based on age and gender, so you're competing against your own potential, not just the clock.

Form a team of 3 to 5. Register under the same team name. No extra fee. The top 3 adjusted times combine into one score where the lowest time wins.

Your fast masters runner isn't just "still competitive for their age." They're a weapon.
