Thurston's Shooting Range

UPDATE!

We are looking for students for the upcoming long range/bolt gun class. I tried reaching out to people who were interested but most of them were "unavailable on messenger"! We want to keep the class size small and were looking to do it next weekend or the weekend after that. Likely on a Saturday afternoon. Class would be 4-6 hours with a classroom and a live fire portion on the range. We will close it to the public while class is in session as to minimize distractions/downtime.

INFORMATION REGARDING BOLT ACTION CLASS:

DATE: TBD (Projected to be in September, but we'll keep you posted)

Class length is projected to be at least a few hours long (2+ minimum) and hosted at Thurston's range

Quick introduction video for the Intro to Bolt action class,

The objective of this class is to have a better understanding and relationship with your rifle. Making consistent and repeatable engagements at 100 yards to open the door for accuracy and precision at longer ranges.

Please be prepared with note taking items, a rifle (1moa or less capable preferred)

50-60 rnds of ammo (more is better because better to have too much than not enough)

Ear pro

Bipod on rifle

Rear bag

Preferred:

Tripod (saddle, tac plate, or arca)

Binoculars or spotting scope

Hat/suncreen

Water

Light easy snack

Hi everyone, just wanted to let you know we are moving forward with the classes advertised! More details to come as they are ironed out, but I wanted to share this little teaser for the long range class.

I'll be reaching out to interested people from the other post to coordinate schedules. If you would like to be included, or want to see other classes offered, please let us know! I'd like to start classes before it snows.

In the meanwhile, we still offer private 1 on 1 and small group instruction as well as gun rentals.

We're looking into hosting precision rifle/bolt gun, low-light/night shooting, and home defense classes. If you would be interested in any of these classes, or want something else, let us know!

THE CLASS COVERS GUN SAFTY AND SHOOTING LESSONS. EACH CLASS WILL BE AROUND 1 HR AND 15MIN. CLASSES ARE WEEK DAYS AND WEEKENDS. WE ARE WITH YOU THE HOLE TIME , WORKING WITH YOU ON SHOOTING.
