It's time for one of our FAVORITE events of all time, the United States Eventing Association, Inc. (USEA) American Eventing Championship in Lexington, KY!!! Our riders work so hard all year in hopes of qualifying to compete at this event. This year we have 6 SLEC horse and rider combinations going, and one of our new freshmen (Lila Kelly) is competing there with her home barn and then coming home to SLEC. We are so excited to cheer everyone on and have a most memorable week!

Depending on your lesson time and what you are working on, your lessons in this heat wave may be In-barn lessons, walking-only/technique lessons, or possibly rescheduled. If you are being asked to reschedule, your instructor will reach out. Please understand that in-barn education is incredibly valuable and a wonderful alternative to riding in these dangerous conditions. Good horsemen always do what's best for the horses first. Looking forward to learning more together in a safe way this week!

Our final summer camp starts tomorrow!
Mon-Thurs 9-3, fri 9-12. Campers come dressed to ride and bring shorts to change into after riding. It will be a hot week so bring plenty to drink and pack a lunch Mon-Thurs (pizza party Friday!). We will also be playing some water games this week to stay cool so feel free to bring a towel or extra change of clothes. It's going to be a great week!
