End of story. Disarmed men have no option but servitude. Armed men have choices.

@mrfrisella One thing I understand is that the SKILL to develop true confidence is established at a young age.

That SKILL is exposure.

Let them try it.

Teach the to respect it.

Maybe they like it.

Maybe they hate it.

At minimum, they have tried it and at least have had an introduction to it.

The confidence and willingness to adopt new thoughts and ideas comes from
The understanding and experience of trying new things… especially when they are young.

I had parents who gifted me this skill and it’s been one of the most important ones that I still have to this day.

The ability and confidence to try something new… even if it scared me.

The elimination of fear and situational understanding is a learned skill and I believe as parents our obligation is to teach and show our children a wide variety of these things and a great way to build trust.

Let them experience life and be there to experience it with them… even when it’s new to you.

As we grow into adults, we either have a solid foundation to build from or a fragmented foundation to try and piece together and I believe that a lot of that solid is simply experience.

Trust is only built from showing up, being there, and experiencing it with them. The bond with your child is grown through expierence, guidance and simply being present… success and failure and learning to teach them how to learn from both!

It’s what turns those shaky moments into solid ground.

Go be present, go be a parent!
