History was made last weekend as the Women’s Pro Baseball League (WPBL) celebrated its opening weekend — bringing professional women’s baseball back to the field for the first time in more than 70 years!

Four teams — the Boston Hunters, New York Heights, Los Angeles Queens and San Francisco Firebells — are making history this season at historic Robin Roberts Stadium in Springfield, Illinois.

From the Rockford Peaches of the 1940s and ’50s to today’s WPBL, women continue to break barriers and show young girls that there is a place for them in baseball. ❤️⚾️

What an incredible time to be a girl baseball player! Watching these women make history reminds us why it’s so important to keep opening doors for the next generation.

Auburn 10U wraps up pool play in the Algonquin Tournament with a 2-1 record and is headed to the playoffs!
The boys are back in action today at 3 pm as they take on Shrewsbury in Southborough. 💙⚾ let’s GO Auburn
