The perfect time to start doesn’t exist 🤫

On paper it’s easy to say “there’s no way I can stick to a perfect plan in this season” and 9 times out of 10, you are RIGHT.

But, let’s see what success CAN look like ⬇️

-86% accuracy in tracking your meals each week. Did you know 3 meals only accounts for ~14% of your week? Bye bye excuses for date night, birthday parties, and catered lunches because they can have a very minimal impact on your progress.
- Swapping quick, convenient junk food for planned and convenient whole foods. I love a simple, thoughtless meal as much as you do, learn how these meals can still lead to progress 👏

🏋🏼‍♀️💪🏼🏃‍♀️
- A 30 minute workout is only 2% of your day ⏱️ having a plan to be intentional with your 30 minutes is a game changer in keeping progress coming.
- Stroller walks are cardio.
- Getting an extra 3k steps in cleaning the house at the end of the day is a win.
- Something > Nothing when starting out.

Health, fitness, and wellness is not meant to CONSUME the average persons life. My goal is to teach women why and how it all COMPLIMENTS your life.

Who doesn’t want to feel more confident? Feel stronger? Enjoy your kids longer and better?

The age old question, workouts OR nutrition?
Answer? Both.

Workouts:
👉🏼 Progressive Overload Programs (increasing intensity through adding weight, reps, or time under tension over time)
👉🏼 Increased muscle mass increases your resting calorie burn (basal metabolic rate) because muscle burns an additional 4-8 calories per pound per day compared to body fat.
👉🏼 Strength training leads to energy burn hours post workout during recovery and healing.
🔥 In Short: Strength training will give you something to “reveal” after fat loss and speed up the weight loss process when done with intention.

Nutrition:
👉🏼 You have more control over the look and performance of your body through nutrition and how you choose to fuel your body.
💩 food = 💩 feeling and performance
👉🏼 Knowing the basics of macronutrients will allow you to get the most out of your workouts, recover properly, and feed your muscles while losing body fat.
👉🏼 A calorie deficit isn’t the #1 answer to seeing your body change long term.

Everything works together to create *optimal* results.
If you enjoy working out, but don’t care to see results beyond that, keep rolling in the gym and enjoying it.
If you simply enjoy the game of nutrition and want to stick to your daily walks and stretches, keep on keeping on.

BUT if you have specific goals and keep getting “stuck”, it’s time to look at the intention behind these 2 things 👆🏼

I loveeeee a heavy lift day as much as the next gym rat BUT there is power in the ability to push and pull your body around 🌀

What are the pros? ✅
- Giving your joints a break from heavy external load.
- Confidence in aging and trusting your body to keep you safe and secure.
- Easily modifiable for all fitness levels.
- Core strength as well as balance and coordination.

Working body weight movements into programs is a non-negotiable for my girls because we are in this thing for the LONG HAUL 😮‍💨

“I can’t start a program right now, we have too many fun events coming up”

Let’s Talk Fats 🧈🥩

The word “fat” may already have you anxious about what’s coming next, but it’s good news I promise!

Fats are a NECESSARY part of your diet. Fats alone are not the enemy and reason for weight gain — unless it’s in excess.

Eating Fats ≠ Gaining Fat

Fats are necessary, especially to women, for several reasons:
👉🏼 Hormone Health - estrogen and progesterone production is heavily dependent on fats. These hormones play a vital role in regulating your cycle, fertility, and mood.
👉🏼 Your Brain Loves Fats - memory, focus, and emotions are all impacted by fatty acids.
👉🏼 Feel Fuller Longer - through a balanced blood sugar and sustained energy levels, the desire to snack throughout the day will be lower and you will find it easier to maintain a calorie deficit.

Fats are not the enemy, overconsumption is!

Too much of a good thing leads to a negative outcome 9 times out of 10.

Learning to track macronutrients will be a game changer in your relationship with food and how you fuel your body!

Everything I ate yesterday on game day with no prep and minimal tracking 🫢

The goal is to manage your intake as much as possible BEFORE you get there. Don’t make the entire day a free for all just because of a couple hours. I had hit ~75% of my protein goal before we got there.

Save your carbs and fats for the good stuff! I had enough carbs to fuel my workout that morning then the rest were saved for tailgating and game time.

If you’ve checked the 2 boxes above, EAT THE GOOD STUFF. Tracking will always be intended to create FREEDOM. What’s the point in all of this fitness and health thing if you can’t stick to it long term??

Consistency >>> Perfection
