Birthday Parties
Tarmey Tumbling Birthday Parties are tons of fun for the whole family! The first hour is the tumbling portion with us and the second hour is for whatever you provide, (food, cake, presents, etc). We start with fun warm ups and stretching, then we usually leave the rest up to the birthday girl or boy. We usually do a fun obstacle course followed by any of the following: parachute games, dodgeball, rope swing, getting rolled in the barrel, or four squares! The overall age of the kids participating also influences what activities we do. Then the kids take a break and go to the back section for the food/presents portion. That usually only takes 45 minutes, so they have a little free time at the end for other games that I mentioned before. You can bring any food, drinks, decorations, or other activities that you want! We have up to 4 folding tables for your use and plenty of chairs. I would bring table cloths because they aren't the prettiest tables, plus clean up is easier. The Birthday Party Package costs $150 and covers up to 12 kids in the tumbling activities! More children can participate for only $5 more for each extra child. If you want a longer party, each additional half hour is $50. Other information:
Dress Code:
Comfy, tight clothes or leotard and shorts/leggings. Shirts must be worn over sports bra. Bare feet or socks, hair tied back if long enough. Please bring water to class :)

Hello friends and families, I hope everyone is having a great new year. I wanted to let everyone know that I’m gonna be doing just a couple of tumbling classes at Tritown Gymnastics in Mechanic Falls on Tuesday nights. It’s not much but I miss teaching and this gives me an opportunity to stay involved while still doing construction during the day. I am sharing the post that they posted on their page. It will probably fill up fast so if you’re interested try to sign up ASAP. I may be doing some more classes on a different day of the week around Auburn but not totally sure yet. I look forward to seeing some of you guys as I miss you all! – Coach Chris
EDIT: To enroll, follow the link in the post below
I don’t even know where to begin, but I guess I’ll just say it. We are deeply saddened to inform you that Tarmey Tumbling is closing its doors. This decision was not made lightly, and took months to reach.
This shutdown and everything that has come from it is difficult beyond words for every single person on this planet. It has affected us all in different ways, but affected us all nonetheless. For us, it has impacted us financially, and the uncertainty of the future is daunting.
When we reopen will children have to exercise with masks on? How can they breath? How can we clean the mats between each use? We would spend half the class cleaning. When will this end? Will it carry on into next fall? Next winter?
The uncertainty is too much and we do not know how long we can wait. So for now, we must close. We are storing our equipment and hope to reopen in a new location after all of this is behind us and we look forward to seeing you all again! I will have a few mats at home for private lessons I’m my backyard until we can officially reopen!
We want to thank each and every one of you for all you have done for us!! For bringing your children here for a single session or for multiple years. For taking a break but coming back again. For telling your friends about Tarmey Tumbling. For sharing our posts. For supporting us through every loss, every new baby, and everything in between.
Thank you for being there for us, with us. YOU are what makes Tarmey Tumbling so special. You are a part of this family business.
As I just said, this is a family business, and we work with families. I, Coach Chris, have raised my 4 children here. My son Tyler has been a coach, my sons best friends Brandon and Alyssa have been coaches too. My daughter Kayla became an advanced tumbler here. My little ones Annabelle and Liam have played and have started to learn tumbling here. I spent years working with my wife here.
You all are our family too. Some of you have been coming here for years. Coach Liz and I have watched your children grow over the years, and we love each and every one of those children. We will miss you all tremendously!
Message from Coach Chris to the kids:
Don’t forget that liking all of your vegetables takes practice, just like walking, running, cartwheels, and everything else. Always believe in yourself with everything that you want to be able to do and remember if you are having trouble just say ” I can and I will!”
We plan and hope more than anything that we are able to open our doors once again in the future. This is not goodbye, it’s I’ll see you later. We love you all!

Are your kids getting hyper in the house? Get them out of the house for a private lesson to release some energy in a safe place!
👉No more flips on your couch!👈
Any kid (or grown up) can come, no experience needed! They don’t have to want to learn Tumbling to do a private lesson! The private lesson structures are very flexible, they can be Parkour focused, tumbling focused, work out focused, free play focused, anyway you want!
Did you already pay for the March/April class session? We can credit the unused portion of classes towards a private/semi private lesson!
Private lessons can be done during the day or evening. Just contact Coach Chris (207-713-8122) to set up a time to come in. Also, if you want a semi-private class but can’t find other kids to join, we can make groups of kids similar age or ability. Our prices, before any credits are applied, are as follows:
Private lesson for 1: $50/hr or $25/half hr
Private lesson for 2: $25 each
Private lesson for 3-5: $20 each
*Note: Family private lessons cap at $50, so you won’t end up paying more if you have more than 2 kids. And parents are welcome to participate too! We all need a little fun!
Thank you for your support! We miss all of our tumblers, past and present, and hope you are all well!

If you want a little peace of mind concerning the number of COVID-19 deaths and cases, here’s a good short video. He explains some good points with a nice calm demeanor. I really enjoy watching his health videos.
We hate to cancel our classes, but with the increasing concerns about COVID-19 in the community, Tarmey Tumbling will be following the lead of our community school systems. We will be CLOSED for all Group Tumbling Classes March 16th – March 28th to limit exposure due to large gatherings. The Adult/Teen Open Gym will still run on Thursdays 6:30pm - 7:30pm.
We will not charge for any classes that are missed during this time. If you have already paid in full, you will receive a credit to your account for any future classes.
Coach Chris will be doing Private Lessons/ Semi-Private lessons in the meantime at a discounted rate. The cost is as follows:
1 student - $50/hr ($25 for 1/2 hr)
2 students- $25 each for 1 hour

To schedule a lesson, please text Coach Chris at 207-713-8122 to set up a time that would work.
We will continue to monitor the situation, as well as the local schools and CDC recommendations. Thank you for your understanding and please be safe!

IMPORTANT NEWS: FRIDAY March 13th Classes CANCELLED for deep cleaning and Tarmey Tumbling‘s response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Thank you for being a part of Tarmey Tumbling. The health and well-being of our children, employees, family and communities is our top priority. We understand the concern and uncertainty you may be experiencing surrounding Coronavirus (COVID-19) and we are committed to being responsive to our families health needs as the situation evolves.
I'm sure you are all fully aware of the concerns around the Coronavirus and the speed at which it is spreading. I wanted to let you know that we are doing everything we can to keep germs and bacteria at bay here at the gym. We have increased the use and availability of disinfectant spray, hand sanitizer, tissues, and cleaning products and doubled up efforts to keep surfaces and equipment clean. We will be disinfecting all surfaces daily including tumbling mats, equipment, doorknobs, tables, etc. The coaches will also be enforcing the use of hand sanitizer before and after classes. There will be several bottles around the gym to use.
I would like to encourage all of you to please do your part as well, to help minimize the risk to yourself and all of your peers here. For example:
1 Use hand sanitizer upon arrival before using any of the gym equipment.
2 Parents of young members, please help us to enforce the use of hand sanitizer upon arrival of your kids.
3 Don't come in to the gym if you are sick. As always, makeup classes are always welcome within a reasonable amount of time. (Usually we try to get people to make up a class within one month, but will extend this to six months considering the current situation.)
4 Please avoid touching your face or wiping sweat with your hands.
5 Take care of your families immune system, get good sleep and look for Coach Chris’s favorite videos regarding health, immunity, and plans regarding the Caronavirus. (Disclaimer: these videos are just videos that Chris likes, he is not stating that he can treat or cure any disease or illness. Just his opinion of good material to watch/read.)
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Of course, please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
