Auburn University Bass Fishing Team

Stop two of the series at Santee Cooper was an absolute slugfest! Our boys had a blast leaning into some South Carolina giants in this one day shootout. .richardson10 and showed out yesterday, throwing just shy of 30 pounds on the scale which landed them a 7th place finish and a ticket to the national championship!

With 3 teams qualified for the national championship, the team is looking forward to the next stop at the James river to get some more boats qualified!

Last week at the Bassmaster Classic, Jake Peck and Luke Wyle had the opportunity to fish the classic from their win last spring on Harris Chain. Jake got to put his jersey on one last time for an unforgettable experience. Our guys did a fantastic job representing our team on the big stage.

This past week we had the 2nd MLF tournament of the year at Lake Eufaula. The team ended up catching some and we got 2 boats qualified for next years National Championship. Keeping the streak going for longest MLF National Championship appearances.

Solid week for our guys who traveled to the College National Championship. Lake Murray really showed out this week with big weights. Kept our streak alive for longest college team to attend the MLF Natty and hoping to keep it going as our team heads Lake Seminole next week for the first MLF tournament of the year.

What a memorable fish fry we had this year. We were able to celebrate our top 10 anglers from our Fall qualifier points. We wouldn’t have been able to do this without the help from the Mitchell house and blackberry breeze for the entertainment. We also appreciate everyone who came out and donated items for our auction to help our team raise money.

Then the team headed to Logan Martin the next day for the tournament. It was a fun filled weekend and can’t wait to see how our guys do at Murray.
