Pacific Dunes

Still processing an awesome 3 days at Bandon, but I’ll start dumping the photos on here.

Oregon is so beautiful and I encourage anyone making this trip to make a road trip out of it honestly. It’s blessed land and probably quite hard to make a bad hole in some places! Still, Pac Dunes is a really consistent 18 holes with of course the highlights being the relentless coastal holes.

It’s the first modern links I’ve played and does feel notably different. It’s still running golf but much wider off the tee to the majority of the UK links - largely because they have so much damn space in Oregon.

Incidentally I got it on a half-club wind day without a drop of rain - the pro said I missed out on the full experience 😂

What a genius routing through the LA hills, some wonderful elevated greens and probably one of the best clubhouse atmospheres I’ve experienced.

The tunnels at Bel Air are the dimension that the famous ClubCar golf buggies are designed to - pretty cool! Once upon a time members used to hike the hills but in the most LA move ever they decided they wouldn’t like to do that anymore 😂
