Good Morning, Villagers and World 🌎...

Cock-a-doodle-doo... And How Do You Do?...

It Is Sunday Morning... And For Many Of Us... We Have Already Made It Through Our 7 A.M. Or 9 A.M. Service... Lifted A Prayer... Heard A Word... And Thanked God For Another Day...

The rooster did what the rooster does... He announced the morning... And all I could say was... PRAISE GOD... Thank You, Lord, For Waking Me Up One More Time...

This morning... I covered those who are in need of prayer... I covered those in shut-in seasons... I covered those I am standing in prayer for... And I asked God to REIGNITE prayer where hearts may feel tired... Heavy... Or distant...

But I also had a Learning Lesson...

We have to be mindful of the things we say to people... Sometimes we may be joking... Playing... Or repeating something we heard from a movie... A show... Or a conversation... Not realizing how that word may land on someone else’s spirit...

What sounds harmless to one person... May touch a trigger... A wound... A memory... Or an insecurity in another person...

That reminded me that people carry stories we cannot always see...

A simple word can feel heavy when it touches a place that has not fully healed... A playful comment can hurt when it connects to something deeper... That does not always mean harm was intended... But it does mean AWARENESS is needed...

Healing teaches us ACCOUNTABILITY...

It teaches us to pause before we speak... To listen when someone says something hurt them... And to understand that IMPACT matters... Even when our intention was not to wound...

That is Emotional Maturity... That is Growth... That is Learning How To Love People With More Care...

And this connects to something I have been sitting with...

The wiser you become... The less you chase every connection... Not because you are above anyone... But because Healing teaches you to protect your peace... Respect your spirit... And choose relationships that feel safe... Honest... And intentional...

For me... That is one reason I do not move with a large circle...

It is not because I think I am better than anyone... It is because I have learned that PEACE is sacred... ENERGY is valuable... And every connection does not have the emotional safety... Honesty... Accountability... Or spiritual respect needed to walk closely with me...

When you have been through Grief... Disappointment... Trauma... Misunderstanding... And Personal Transformation... You begin to understand that connection should not constantly cost you your peace...

Love should not require you to shrink... Friendship should not leave you emotionally bruised... Community should not make you feel unsafe in your own spirit...

Proverbs 4:23 says... “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”...

That does not mean we become cold... It means we become CAREFUL...

It means we learn to guard our heart without hardening it... We learn to forgive without forcing closeness... We learn to be kind without giving everybody full access to our spirit...

That is where we Express... Heal... And Transform...

We EXPRESS the lesson...
We HEAL from the impact...
We TRANSFORM how we show up... How we speak... How we love... And how we choose...

So today... I thank God for waking me up... For correcting me... For teaching me... And for reminding me that Wisdom is not just knowing what to say...

Sometimes Wisdom is knowing when to pause... When to apologize... When to listen... And when to protect your peace...

Listen... Somebody needs to go check on that rooster this morning...

Because I truly believe he woke up and chose CHAOS...

It is raining outside... The yard is wet... The sky is looking sleepy... And here he comes running up and down the yard like he is the Commander of the Morning Shift...

TEN-HUT... TEN-HUT...

Come on, hens... Fall in formation...

Meanwhile, the hens are probably looking at him like... Sir... Can we at least get our coffee first...

I am looking out the window like... Dude... What is wrong with you this morning...

Did the moon confuse you... Did the candle in the picture burn your feelings... Did somebody forget to pass you your medication...

Because baby... You are doing way too much before breakfast...

But then I had to stop laughing for a minute...

Because maybe that rooster knows something we forget sometimes...

He does not wait for the weather to be perfect...

He does not wait for the yard to be dry...

He does not wait for everybody else to be ready...

He simply shows up and announces the morning anyway...

And that is a whole message right there...

Life will not always greet us with sunshine... Some mornings come with rain... Heavy thoughts... Tired bodies... Long workdays... And responsibilities that still expect us to clock in, show up, and keep moving...

But even in all of that... We can still choose how we enter the day...

We can enter it with prayer...

We can enter it with humor...

We can enter it with grace...

We can enter it with enough courage to say... I may be tired, but I am still here...

Some people have a quiet way of changing the atmosphere without ever trying... Their presence brings peace... Their kindness builds trust... And their words awaken possibilities that have been patiently waiting within us...

The greatest human connections are never measured by the time we spend together... But by the life we breathe into one another while we are there... When hearts meet with sincerity... Ordinary moments become lasting memories... Hope grows a little stronger... And tomorrow begins to look a little brighter...

So today...

Be somebody’s reason to smile...

Be somebody’s calm in the middle of the noise...

Be somebody’s reminder that life still has beautiful moments waiting to be noticed...

And if all else fails...

Take a lesson from that loud, dramatic, rain-soaked rooster...

You have your assignment... and I have mine...

You wake up the neighborhood... I COVER THE LAND IN PRAYER...
Today... we cover our children near and far... We cover our homes... our families... our elderly... our sick and shut-in... and every person carrying battles mentally... physically... emotionally... spiritually... or financially...

We may never know every diagnosis... every silent struggle... every burden... or every tear someone is carrying... BUT GOD DOES...
So today... we pray beyond our own neighborhoods... beyond our own cities... beyond our own states... and beyond our own nation...
We pray for those waking up hungry... Those walking through war... Those living among bombs... rubble... fear... famine... uncertainty... and loss...

Sometimes we forget how blessed we are simply because our storms look different...
So today... don't just wake up complaining... Wake Up Grateful... Wake Up Aware... Wake Up Compassionate...

And while our colorful rooster is doing what roosters do... let him be your reminder that **God has already been awake...
Sometimes being alone isn't loneliness... It's where God clears the room so creativity can speak...
Before you VENT OUT LOUD to the world... **VENT TO THE MOST HIGH FIRST...

Let Him calm your mind... soften your anger... settle your spirit... and give your words wisdom before your emotions take the microphone...

He doesn't mean you never feel pain...

🐓 Cock-a-Doodle-Doo... It's Hump Day Wednesday!

The rooster is over there carrying on this morning like he's the mayor of the chicken coop. Him and them hens have already held three meetings, made six announcements, and started neighborhood gossip before sunrise.

Now the camel keeps trying to claim this day belongs to him because it's "Hump Day." The rooster said, "Listen here, sir, I ain't riding no camel. You don't deliver newspapers, you don't make announcements, and if you don't get enough water, you ain't even got no humps to brag about!"

Needless to say, the rooster and the camel are still debating ownership of Wednesday. 😂

Meanwhile, the rest of us are getting up, giving God the glory, thanking Him for another day of life, another opportunity to grow, and another chance to walk in purpose.

Today we cover our children near and far. We cover our homes, our families, our communities, our elderly, our sick and shut-in, and those battling different challenges and disorders, whether mental, physical, emotional, or unseen.

We thank God for waking us up this morning with breath in our bodies and another chance to get it right.

Remember this today:

Some mornings the healing is loud. Some mornings it whispers. Either way, your story is not over because it hurts. Every new day is another page waiting to be written.

You do not have to solve your whole life before lunch.

Focus on the next right step.
