A big thank you to Alexander Shubny, Director of Tennis at the A.C. Nielsen Tennis Center (Winnetka Park District) in Chicago for inviting me to present Successful Doubles to a fantastic group of doubles players on May 18. He did a great job promoting and organizing the event and pulling together a wonderful group of players who were eager to learn. We had a great day on the courts - thank you all for giving me an opportunity to come do what I love, and I look forward to hearing how Successful Doubles is working for each of you!

Today was a beautiful day for a Successful Doubles clinic at the Charlotte Latin School tennis courts! Student players coached by PTR International Master Pro Jack Thompson and CLS Varsity girls' and boys' coach Dale Hall spent the day with Pete, Jack and Dale learning what they need to know to be great doubles players and putting their new knowledge into practice! Terrific young people to work with and awesome doubles students! (Students - please tag yourselves!)

Great volleyers are a lot like ducks swimming on a lake. On the surface, they appear to be gliding across the water effortlessly, but if you look at their lower half, they're paddling like crazy. Great volleying is the result of quick feet to get you in the right position but a quiet upper body, with a shoulder turn and minimal arm movement.
