Our hearts are heavy. 💔

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our dear friend and longtime yoga instructor, Shari Russell who passed away tragically this past Sunday.

For nearly a decade, Shari has been a cherished part of our Zone community. Her presence in the studio was a gift— her calm voice, her radiant smile, her big hugs and her ability to help each of us find stillness, strength, and peace both on and off the mat.

Through her classes, she taught us that yoga is more than movement — it’s a way of showing up for ourselves and for each other with kindness and compassion. Shari embodied that spirit every day. She created a space where people felt seen, supported, strengthened physically and mentally, and inspired to breathe a little deeper and live a little lighter.

She leaves behind her husband and three children, and a community who will forever be grateful for the light she shared.

As we grieve this unimaginable loss, we invite our community to honor Shari in the way she lived — with an open heart, mindful breath, and gratitude for the present moment.

We will holding a Memorial Yoga Tribute for Shari during her normally scheduled class time on Saturday, December 13th at 9:30am. This class will be open to all and will be Free for non-Members. Just mention Shari when you check in at the Front Desk

Shari, you are forever a part of our Zone family. May your soul rest in peace and your love continue to ripple through all who had the privilege of knowing you. Namaste Friend 🤍🙏🕊️

A Service to honor Shari will be held at EHills Church, located at 25511 E. Smokey Hill Rd, Aurora, CO 80016, on Friday, 19 December at 2:00 PM.
