ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT | GABRIELLA GROOMER 🥎💣

Pretty cool moment for a longtime One44One Performance athlete and friend.

Four-time All-State pitcher Gabriella Groomer, coming off an outstanding career with the Purdy Lady Eagles, officially took the field for the first time as a Crowder College Roughrider last week at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar.

First collegiate game. Second at-bat. Smoked a dinger, HOMERUN. 💣🚀💪🏼

I haven’t gotten the chance to watch G in a Crowder uniform in person yet, but getting the moment on video from one very excited and proud mom was pretty cool!

From four years of All-State softball at Purdy to making some noise immediately at the college level — heck of a way to start the next chapter, G!!! 🥎💙💪🏼🏆

🏐 ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT‼️ From the Lighthouse Christian Chargers and club volleyball with 417 Resilience VBC, middle hitter Grace Goff advanced her game to the next level with the Cottey College Comets.

Coming off her first collegiate season, Grace is continuing her education while investing this year in her performance—getting stronger, becoming more explosive, improving change of direction, and preparing herself for what comes next.

The best part? She enjoys the process. Grace shows up smiling, asks questions, wants feedback on the work she’s doing outside our sessions, and is always looking for another way to improve. Disciplined. Impressive! Her results speak for themselves. 🔥💪🏼

32 days of work:

⬆️ Vertical jump average +4.4% | Best +9.7%
💥 Broad jump average +8.0%
⚡ 5-10-5 Pro Agility Shuttle 1.3% faster

Still working, more goals ahead! GREAT WORK GRACE! Keep building and keep smiling. Make it fun, ALWAYS! 💪🏼🏐

6 WEEKS OF WORK 📈🏀

This is what development is supposed to look like. Six weeks into his preseason build, basketball athlete Cooper Brown of Aurora HS has invested SOLID WORK that brought SOLID RESULTS:

💪🏼 +10 lbs body mass (+6.9%)
⬆️ +2.0% vertical jump
🚀 +2.7% standing broad jump
⚡ +21.4% improvement in RSI output
📊 60.5% tighter RSI range — consistency

The part I like most? He added 10 pounds and didn't sacrifice explosiveness. Vertical output held and slightly improved, horizontal power increased, and his reactive strength became much more repeatable.

And these numbers came at the end of a week that included four straight days of max-strength and performance testing.

Now the focus shifts. We're not chasing size just to get bigger. We're taking the strength he's built and turning it into speed, reactivity, jump efficiency and basketball power.

Nice work Cooper! Back to work another 6–8 weeks. Build it. Transfer it. Compete with it. 🏀🔥💪🏼

SPEED & AGILITY DEVELOPMENT MIGHTY STRONG 🏈🐾

The Aurora Houn Dawg Mighty Mites put in 11 weeks of work this summer—building acceleration, change of direction, balance, body control and competitive confidence.

We used the 5-10-5 Pro Agility Shuttle throughout the summer to help measure that development.

• 19 athletes assessed
• 37 individual assessment sessions
• 93 timed 5-10-5 reps
• 5 testing dates

📈 63% finished with a faster average

⚡ 50% established a faster individual best

📈 Largest average improvement: nearly 5%

⚡ Largest improvement in an individual best: more than 6%

The stopwatch is only part of the story. These young athletes became more confident planting, cutting, stopping, reaccelerating and competing at speed.

The goal was simple: build better young ATHLETES—then go play football. NICE WORK FELLAS!! I'm looking forward to watching you on the field this fall!! 🏈💪🏼🐾

6 WEEKS, MEASURABLE RESULTS‼️

Our YMCA Jump Into Summer athletes put in the work—and the numbers backed it up.

⬆️ Vertical Jump: +5.9% average improvement | +50.5% best improvement

↗️ Standing Broad Jump: +4.6% average improvement | +15.4% best improvement

↔️ 5-10-5 Pro-Agility Shuttle: 0.8% average improvement | 8.0% faster best improvement

💣 RSI | Reactive Strength: +2.6% average improvement | +10.3% best improvement

Six weeks focused on jumping, landing, acceleration, horizontal power, deceleration, change of direction, re-acceleration and reactive athleticism.

We didn’t train athletes to get better at four tests. We trained athletic qualities and used the tests to measure whether the work transferred. It did.

📷 The pictures show the work.
📈 The data shows the progress.

Proud of this group and thankful to the athletes, families, and Monett Area YMCA for a great six weeks! See you again soon!

When I first met Emma between her freshman and sophomore years, her goal was pretty simple: earn postseason recognition.

Sophomore year, 1st Team All-Conference. All-District. All-Region.

Junior year, she hits a half-dozen bombs, throws out numerous base steals, and finishes her season as a 1st Team Missouri All-State Catcher.

Now she heads into her senior year—and the part I’m most proud of isn’t the awards. It’s her HEART, it's the WORK.

Emma plays softball nearly 10 months a year. She catches. She throws runners out. She hits bombs. She trains. She gets stronger. And through all of it, she has stayed healthy, durable and AVAILABLE.

She has never asked me to turn down the tempo, the volume, or the heat. She embraces it DETERMINED to be her BEST.

Senior year loading, I'm so excited to watch you own your game, Emma!!! 💜🥎💪🏼

POST 1 OF A FEW… 📸

I captured tons of pics from a long, hot summer of working with some pretty awesome athletes to fit into one post — so here’s some first few.

From rock-star athletes competing on some of the biggest stages, to junior high and high school athletes putting in work toward their own goals — this summer covered a little bit of everything.

Speed. Strength. Power. Mobility. Recovery. Preparation.

Different sports. Different goals. A whole lot of work.

I'm blessed with opportunity to do this in my life and pray for many more.

I've had the opportunity to work with a lot of softball players through clinics, groups and 1-on-1 training over the past few years. As seasons get rolling, here's a little something for all of you.

Shoulder strength. Scapular control. Mobility. Stability. Posterior-chain strength. Recovery.

In-season training isn't about crushing yourself in the gym, it's about maintaining strength. Manage fatigue. Stay available. Perform your best!

Save it. Share it with a teammate. And go have a great season. 🥎💪🏼🏆

Some athletes chase results. Others chase the process. Benjamin Morgan has committed to both.

Benjamin is an incoming sophomore at Crane High School, competing in cross country this fall and track & field in the spring, while continuing his summer season with Springfield Track Club. Since the middle of June, I've had the opportunity to work alongside him, and what has impressed me most isn't just his talent—it's his consistency.

Week after week, Benjamin has committed to his plan: home strength sessions, running workouts, weekly gym training, recovery, nutrition, mobility, and taking care of the little things that many athletes overlook. Those habits are what separate good athletes from great ones.

As a freshman this past spring, Benjamin narrowly missed a trip to Sectionals in both the 1,600m and 3,200m. Instead of letting that disappointment define his season, he kept working.

That work paid off.

Competing with Springfield Track Club this summer, Benjamin advanced through the AAU Missouri Valley District Meet and earned a spot at the AAU Region 16 Championships in Wichita. There, he delivered an outstanding performance, highlighted by a 4th-place finish in the 2,000m Steeplechase, earning his qualification to the 2026 AAU Junior Olympic Games in Des Moines later this summer.

The exciting part? This is only the beginning.

Benjamin is coachable, disciplined, humble, and willing to embrace the work that success demands. Those qualities are difficult to teach, and they're exactly why I'm confident you'll be hearing his name for years to come.

Congratulations, Benjamin! Keep trusting the process, stay hungry, and enjoy every step of the journey. Your teammates, coaches, family, and everyone who has supported you have plenty to be proud of.

🔥 ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT | Drake Gibbs 🔥

This is what happens when an athlete buys into the process.

Going back to early spring, Drake had goals—but more importantly, he had the willingness to work. Session after session, he showed up ready to learn, compete, and get a little better than he was the day before.

Fast forward just a few months...

💥 4½+ inches added to his vertical jump.
💥 Nearly a 7% increase in healthy body weight through intentional fueling, recovery, and consistency.
💥 All while balancing travel basketball and team workouts.

None of this happened by accident.

It came from attacking the little things—training with purpose, putting in the work between sessions, fueling his body the right way, prioritizing recovery, and trusting the process every step of the way.

The best part? We're just getting started.

Drake is building the kind of athletic foundation that will pay dividends for years to come. His work ethic, coachability, and commitment to doing things the right way make him an absolute joy to coach.

I'm proud of the progress you've made, Drake! I'm even more excited about what's still ahead. Keep up the GREAT WORK Drake!!! 🔥💪🏼😎
