I like to say that when you get older, that becomes your grade card of how well you took care of yourself your entire life.

I became Specialized in Seniors because it really is important to me to take care of our elders and make an impact on those demographics.

If you know me well, you may know how serious I take my continuous of education to maintain my NASM Certification so I can ensure that my clients get me at my best, and that I am only going to get better, and smarter.

The past couple of years I took three new courses for my C.E.U's. As well as maintaining my C.P.R and A.E.D. Certification.

"Mindful Stress Management" course

"Mindful Drinking" course

And a course on "Neuromuscular Stretching"

I literally failed my Neuromuscular Stretching course 3 times before getting very discouraged but finally passing.

But I had to pass that stinking test because I love being a trainer, and an honest one with a valid and up to date National Academy of Sports Medicine Certification.

I want to be the best at what I do. And I would be a liar if this was not my least favorite part about being a trainer. I did not enjoy school that much. Yet here I am still going to it... but this is how much I love doing what I do, and helping people become healthier and better versions of themselves through fitness and wellness.

There is a little more than meets the eye when it comes to being a trainer. This is the part noone likes to talk about.

I just want to take a moment and say Happy Mother's Day to all of my mom clients!

Oftentimes we realize that we do not just workout and stay healthy for ourselves, but for our children and/or grandchildren.

So we can still maintain the energy and capabilities to play with our younger ones.

And to be around in this world longer - not just for ourselves, but for them too.

This is a day to celebrate you moms, but also a good "reminder" day that what we do day by day - what we eat and how active we are - truly matters the more and more we think about it. The bigger picture if you will.
