FIRST Team 2022: Titan Robotics

Alma Latina and FRC Robotics are collaborating to host a panel event, which will have Latinx Engineers speaking on their experiences. This is a perfect opportunity to ask any questions or to learn more about what it is like to study engineering.

We are honored to have the following guests:

Dr. Carla Tejada - An assistant professor at UIC in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering

Alfredo Guzman- an estimator and field engineer at Mortenson

Gilberto Hernandez- A former electrical engineer at Amoco Corp/BP and DuPoint Chemical

Johanna Acevedo- A group product manager at John Deere

Fernando Sanchez- A product management specialist at Xylem

Dinner will also be served afterwards where we’ll have a nacho bar, fruit punch, brownies , and cookies!

CIR Day 2 recap!!

DAY ONE OF THE CENTRAL ILLINOIS REGIONAL!!!

Day 4 of building our robot! On day 4 we continued to prototype, while painting our posters! It was fire!!! Day 4 was great :DD

Day 3 of building our robot!! We built some prototypes while also starting our posters for competition! Day 3 was great!! :D

Day 2 of building our robot! On day 2 we sketched and discussed different subsystems of our robot. Groups presented and debated about the ideas, and finally started prototyping! Overall day 2 was productive. :)

Day 1 of building our robot! We went over the rules of this year's game and planned out our robot. Some groups did presentations about their ideas and specific pieces of the game. Overall day 1 was great! :)

"Walk Like Woodie Day" is a tribute to Dr. Woodie Flowers, celebrating his values of respect, kindness, and Gracious Professionalism®. On October 11, the FIRST community celebrates his legacy by sharing examples of these values on social media, using the hashtag . Participants reflect on how he inspired others as a STEM role model and encouraged treating others with compassion. The day highlights his lasting impact on the FIRST organization and its members.
