Last weekend, the University of Denver Taekwondo Club brought 10 athletes to the 2026 National Collegiate Taekwondo Association Collegiate National Championships (April 24-26), where more than 600 collegiate athletes from universities across the United States competed at the highest level of collegiate taekwondo.

Facing tough competition, the DU Taekwondo Club delivered an outstanding performance, bringing home 2 gold medals and 2 bronze medals.

The team is led by Head Coach, Master Sean Jung alongside Assistant Coach Iden Sheng. Over the years, US Taekwondo Center has proudly seen many of its students continue their martial arts journey at the University of Denver—both as competitors and graduates.

Taekwondo is truly a lifelong journey, proving that growth, learning, and competition don’t stop with age.

Congratulations to all of the athletes on an incredible performance!
