Marisa!

Marisa Pisano is a longtime Sky Candy instructor and frequent performer. She has had the pleasure of performing at a number of iconic Austin events, including SXSW (in support of acts including Nas, Busta Rhymes, and Rev Run), Formula1 FanFest, Art Outside, Art Erotica, First Night, and many more. She is also the shorter half of the aerial team Duo Tartine. Whether performing solo or with her partner, Marisa is well-known for creating acts with excellent musicality and seamless, fluid transitions.

The RainWhorest Cafe will take place on Saturday, June 6th, at 8pm.⁠

Anna Baker has been taking sling classes for over 2 and a half years. This is her third time performing in an aerial showcase. As someone who grew up listening to the B-52's, she is so excited to perform Roam for this year's pride showcase.

Next up, Marie!

Marie will be celebrating her 6th year doing aerials this summer and her first pride month not buried in homework. She excited to bring one of her favorite wild movie to life in her act. She enjoys sharing high energy and positive acts and celebrating q***r art and joy.

Our youngest performer, Anne Artuz

This is Anne’s second year taking silk classes. She loves being able to be creative and express herself through the aerial arts. Other hobbies Anne enjoys include fencing, inline speed skating, and making comics.

Next up, Avery!

Avery is an aerial silks performer of three years who loves bringing fun and full commitment to every act. Drawn to campy, unexpected concepts, Avery leans all the way into the bit, this time exploring what it might look like to make the completely unglamorous feel strangely captivating. Blending strength, character work, and a wink of absurdity, this performance doesn’t take itself too seriously while still delivering dynamic silks. Expect bold energy, physicality, and a concept you didn’t see coming.

The mission of Sky Candy’s JEDI Fund is to promote Justice, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in our programming and in our community creation practices. The fund offers financial support to members of our community from marginalized backgrounds who may not otherwise be able to afford to make aerial arts a part of their lives.

Our next performer, Amy Colibrí Yun, has a riddle for you. What do Queen Elizabeth I, Susan B. Anthony, and the Dalai Lama have in common? They are some of the bravest leaders in history and also asexual! Amy wants everyone to know that there are countless ways to fill one’s life with love and happiness without being romantic or physical. Every asexual person deserves to live their life without anyone raining on their parade!

Give a cheer for Disco Lemonade!

Disco Lemonade is a powerful creature whom you can find performing in Austin and beyond as an aerialist, movement artist, temptrix, and menace. As a nonbinary powder keg that identifies only as ~Big Gay~, rest assured, no matter form they take, you are in for one hell of a ride.
Brightly colored and dangerous, they use their color as a warning -- if you dare approach, be prepared. No matter how tempting -- DO NOT LICK.
And if you do. Don't stop. Just do it. First, you gotta put your neck into it.
