FITMAS CRUNCH CHALLENGE FINAL WEEK!
Plank Firefly Crunches
The final week is completing 4 sets of 25 plank firefly crunches each day for the next 3 days! Yowzas! Then celebrate with a 1 minute plank on Christmas Day and give yourself the best present you can give yourself, better health! 🎁
A plank firefly crunch is combining 2 moves by crunching your abs while in a plank position. You can modify by doing them on your knees for less resistance.
This is a great movement in strengthening all of the muscles around the front, sides and back of your core.
To execute plank firefly crunches:
1. Get into a plank position with your hands directly under your shoulders in a long straight line either on your toes or for less load, modify with both your knees down
2. Brace your core, drawing in your belly button, and push your palms into the ground, like you are trying to push the floor away from you
3. Bend one knee and drive that knee towards the outside of your elbow
4. Return to plank position and repeat

Alright we’re at the halfway point with our FITMAS Challenge!
The common comment I’m getting is “I never thought it would be this hard to do it every day.” The key is to
✔️stay consistent by scheduling it in
✔️break it up into small bouts/sessions every day
✔️play some music to help motivate you
✔️get your fam members and/or friends to do with you for added accountability
Week 3 is completing 3 sets of 25 reverse crunches each day for the next 7 days! These are great for lower belly fat and works the deepest muscle in our stomachs

Week 2 begins! How did week 1 of crunching go for you? Lmk if you completed it. This week we will be crunching on
✔️2 sets of 25 toe touch crunches (full extension or modified by bending the knees)
✔️stay tuned for week 3!
These are great to engage the abdominal wall and adds in a nice hamstring stretch, plus an isometric hold on the hip flexors. For more difficulty, try holding a weight or medicine ball and perform the same motion. Give it a try but
keep crunching and don’t give up! 💪

It’s been a minute since my last post but here’s a fun little challenge for you that will gear you up for the Christmas holiday spirit and will help you get a trimmer waistline and stronger core for better mobility.. it’s the FITMAS CRUNCH CHALLENGE!
25 crunches each day for 25 days. Each week is different style crunches and sets and will get progressively more challenging.
✔️Week 1 = 1 set of 25 bicycle crunches (full extension or modified)
✔️1 rep = 2 legs so total of 50
