Beginning this week, I will shifting to other online platforms besides IG Live
From now on, the only session I will be hosting on my IG Live is Thursday morning breath work + mantra meditation at 8am, which will be available for only 24 hours on my Story once it’s been posted
Most of my sessions will be on a new FB Group called REDISCOVER YOU: An At-home Wellness Retreat
Led by , this retreat offers classes 7 days a week from teachers across the country
Becoming a member of this FB wellness community allows you full access to all videos, which are available permanently on the page
All classes are donation-based, with a $5 minimum suggested donation

📣NEW CHALLENGE ALERT📣
COVID-19 Daily Gratitude Challenge
Wow have our lives changed quickly. It’s easy to get lost in it all, to fall into fear and pessimism and cynicism. Times like these can really bring out the worst in us humans
Together, we can change the narrative. Inspired by the most recent .the.light.podcast episode, let’s all work on a little reprogramming, shall we?
Instead of allowing fear and doubt and uncertainty to take up all the storage space in your brain, let’s actively create space for gratitude and positivity
Starting today, Monday 3/23, I’d like for you to post one thing you’re grateful for in your IG story and then tag one other person to join the challenge
That’s not all, tho. The thing you’re grateful for MUST BE something that has been brought into your life as a direct result of the current pandemic
This can be a new connection you’ve made with someone, a park near your home you’d never visited, a project you’ve started, a spiritual practice you’ve discovered, some deep & forgotten emotions or traumas you’ve uncovered and are now working on healing through
Whatever it is! For 3️⃣0️⃣ straight days, you must find one thing you’re grateful for that likely would not have entered your life had it not been for this new COVID world we’re all living in
So here are the official rules:
1) Make the commitment to post once a day for 30 days in your IG story with the hashtag
2) Tag one person each day in your gratitude post
3) Follow and tag this account so that the person you’ve challenged can see the official rules!

REDISCOVER YOU: an at-home wellness retreat
Starting on Monday, March 23 we have our teachers lined up to teach y’all a variety of virtual wellness classes each week that are scheduled similar to a wellness retreat you’d travel away for!
Except, this will be in the comfort of your own home!
All classes are Pay What Feels Good with a minimum suggested donation of $5 - you can head to the link in my bio or Venmo for any of the classes
If you can’t pay, that’s okay! We do ask that you share our social graphics in exchange instead :)
We will donate 10% of our donations each week to a different non-profit that our community stands for

If you would like to join in on any of the sessions, I ask that you make a donation of any size via Venmo (my handle is @ DaniSilva). This request is solely for those of you who still have stable employment and have the financial means to do so
That being said, these sessions are 100% FREE for healthcare providers and for other folx working part time or hourly jobs. If you fall under either of those categories, please do NOT make a donation, as this a gift I would like to give you all
If you know of anyone who falls under those categories, spread the word so more people can have access to tools that help support a healthy mental and physical state

Now more than ever, we need to be taking care of our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health
In doing my part to help support you all, I will be live streaming daily sessions of anything from yoga nidra, meditation & breathwork, and Hatha yoga asanas

Respond vs React
One of the many benefits of practicing yoga is gaining the ability to respond instead of reacting to what life places in your path
What is the difference between a response and a reaction?
A reaction uses little-to-no thought. It’s the impulse, the base instinct. It’s what happens when your emotions control you instead of the other way around
Response, on the other hand, is the act of processing the situation and deciding the best step to take. It’s what happens when you have a strong grip on your emotions. By using your breath to create space in the mind, to slow down, you can learn to more frequently respond to life instead of simply reacting
Have you ever noticed the difference between a time when you responded to a situation instead of reacting? How do you think your life would change if you responded instead of reacted to difficult situations?
