Many of you have the goal of throwing 450’ golf lines, as did I. 450’ seems to be the line in the sand for those of us wanting to compete at a decently high level. Today I wanted to highlight the pocket position you can commonly see on pro tour when trying to hit those distances on scoring shots and what it means for us average Joes who are even less likely to get away with form inefficiencies. I’ve pulled only from shots that we captured in person and that I’m confident if you put their disc in my hand I’d get a similar golf line. I’m not athletically gifted and don’t reference myself often because I’d rather show you what pros do, but in this case maybe I can give a little hope to people who look more like me than these guys :) In future posts I’ll be highlighting arm mechanics at lower effort levels (you can think distances) so we can see what changes as you sit more within your range.

I taught lessons at Sprinkle Valley last Saturday and saw great results with a lot of students on the net. Still, that’s just on a net. It’s up to the student to use the cues and concepts to get change out in “the real world.” Got this text today from a student that just wanted 350’ stock shots on the course. Well Branden, I think that’ll do. 😂

This is Andrew. He wanted to throw farther. I wanted to show you the before and after because I think it is incredible what happens when an athletic person adopts the correct mental framework for the throw; specifically the brace and the function of the lower body in Andrew’s case.
I hope the 16 minutes spent on YouTube with Andrew and I is worth it for those struggling through these concepts.
