Happening next Saturday, August 5th!
Join Hollie from 2-3:00pm for this fun and interactive class, meant for connection with your little ones, ages 3-5 years old. We'll sing and move our bodies, connect in partner poses, use our imaginations, and end with time for relaxation. This is an interactive introduction to practicing with younger yogis, so be ready to move, be a little silly, and spend an afternoon connecting – with your kiddo and your inner child.
This offering is in-person only, $18 per family. Older or younger siblings are welcome to join.

Today is first day of the Favorite Things Challenge.
Though I love doing yoga outside, I don’t usually take photos of myself nor do I make a habit of yoga-ing on a hike. However, when your hiking buddy is a photographer you know you have to capture the moment. (thanks 😘)
I love the challenge and playfulness of doing yoga outside - the breeze, the sun, the fresh air; even the challenges of unstable ground and movement and sounds are refreshing obstacles. Try doing down dog outside and really look at the world around you and tell me it doesn’t being a little more joy to your day!
I’m grateful for this practice as it isn’t limited to the mat - I genuinely take yoga with me everywhere. My fave yoga spot ends up being anywhere I feel connected within, to source, and with those around me.

Next Saturday I have a special offering for families. The time we spend together will surely bring laughter and connection, as your kids watch you jump up and down like a monkey, and also take time to rest. Tools we use during class can be integrated at home for continued connection through the holiday season.

Hollie here! Today I took a field trip to Inner Space Caverns with my kiddos, and emerged from the cave with quite a few metaphors for life.
This time of year is ripe for this type of examination: reflecting on where we’ve been, setting our intentions on where we want to go, and observing where we are in this moment. It’s the perfect time to approach our practice as a beginner. By embracing observations we can cultivate curiosity that allows our awareness sink deeper as our roots set more firmly, helping us to stand taller.
In classes lately (of all ages), I’ve been focusing on foundations. Last week, we focused on our feet, doing exercises that engaged directly with the sole of the foot, every edge and corner of the foot, to find our complete equilibrium.
In all of my classes this week – from kids to teens, new moms, Gentle Hatha, and Candlelight Flow, and Yin – we will focus again on these foundations and expand the idea to finding more balance.
We’ll revisit Tadasana (Mountain Pose), then explore different foundations of the Warrior poses, and shifting our foundation to just one foot in Vrikshasana (Tree Pose), mindfully connecting with the earth to root beneath so we can equally rise.
We’ll stand tall like Stalagmites reaching up to the sky! And we’ll likely discuss all the lessons time in a cave can hold, such as how progress is slow, beauty contained in darkness, and exploring the inner landscape of one’s own self. Thanks to my younger son for graciously posing in his Mountain Pose & Tree Pose

Free Day of Yoga at Waterloo Greenway was such a blast. It was sweet seeing familiar faces I’ve known for years, new friends I’ve only recently met in classes at the studio, and families who tried yoga together for the first time.
Thanks to everyone who made the event possible - especially those who brought their kiddos, grandkids, or themselves. Seeing all the smiling faces warmed my heart and brought a lot of joy to my week.
We have classes for all ages throughout the week at Studio Satya. Check out our schedule online, and stay tuned for more opportunities to practice together as a family (or playfully as a grownup.

Our final summer camp of the year begins next week. We have a few spots remaining, and looks to be a great group of kiddos.
Our Building Your World camp offers a chance for kids to gain mindfulness tools in a playful way. We will move our bodies, practice breathing exercises, do fun projects, and play games to embody our lessons each day.

Hi everyone! On Monday, July 11th, our next Yoga Summer Camp begins! This time we will explore the chakras.
During tour time together, we will explore the characteristics of each chakra through movement, breathing exercises, games, and crafts. We will think about what it feels like when energy is moving too slowly or too quickly, and what it’s like to feel balanced.
If there are siblings who are younger but want to join, we are open to that possibility. Feel free to reach out with any questions.

Our Be Your Own Superhero camp begins tomorrow! There are still a few spots remaining.
Though I was never a huge fan of superhero movies and comics, this is one of my favorite camps to teach. I appreciate and can connect with the concept of the hero’s journey, and especially love the connection to finding the hero within.
Each one of us holds unique gifts and talents, ones that benefit not only ourselves but the entire world. I believe in honoring who each child is inside by providing space to examine what that is. Our world often moves so fast, and we easily celebrate outward achievements. This camp takes time to look at inner motivations and mindset, helping to build inner strength and the muscle of mindfulness.

Summer Camps begin on Monday – that’s tomorrow!
If you’re looking for a way for you kids to stay cool during the heat of Austin afternoons, this might be the solution for you.
Tomorrow we’ll begin our journey through 5 different countries, learning about their cultures, stories, ecosystems, and more. Each day will include movement, as a way to embody what we learn about each location, breathing exercises, games, and mindful & educational art projects related to each location. Join us for a week of colorful celebration of the diversity – and familiarity – we can find around the world.
There are still a few spots available. Reach out with questions, or register at StudioSatya.com

This is one of my favorite classes each week. Join other parents and caretakers (grandparents & nannies, you’re welcome also!)
This group is for babies newborn up to crawling. We have time for community, movement for adults, songs and developmentally appropriate (and supportive) movement for littles, and time for resting.
Every Tuesday morning, 9-10am. You’re welcome to arrive late (because we all know how it is getting out of the house with a baby!), and your first class is free.
More info at StudioSatya.com, or feel free to reach out with any questions!
