Today some of our swimmers, and coach Beth Ann, ran in the 33rd Annual Billy Korrow Memorial 5k. Congrats to freshmen Chase Garcia on a 1st place overall finish!!

📹 POV: you’re .hayburn16 at the championships 🏊
Our junior Joe Hayburn traveled to Atlanta, GA last week after qualifying for the NCAA National Championships and set the and record in the 200-yard backstroke!
Saturday’s time edges the 2025 Patriot League record of 1:39.79 set by Navy’s Ben Irwin at last year’s NCAA Championships.
Hayburn’s 200-yard backstroke time broke school record of 1:40.29 that he set at this year’s Patriot League Championships. It is the fifth time he has set the school best in the event since his freshman year of 2024.
Hayburn is the second Loyola swimmer to compete at the NCAA Championships (Ben Cono), and he is the fourth student-athlete in any sport at the school to compete in the NCAA Championships individually.

Congratulations to our alum and one of the most decorated swimmers, Brenna Morris ‘13, on being inducted in 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐞 this past weekend!
• 3× MAAC Most Outstanding Male Swimmer in 2010, 2011 and 2012
• 14 titles and multiple conference records
• Graduated from Loyola as the program’s record-holder in six individual events—500 freestyle, 1,000 freestyle, 1,650 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke and 400 individual medley
• Was on two record-holding relay teams—400 freestyle and 800 freestyle
• Was the first Loyola swimmer, male or female, to achieve an NCAA B standard qualifying time
• Competed at a pair of United States Olympic Trials, swimming at the meets in both 2008 and 2012
• Was 15th in the 1,500 freestyle at the 2009 FINA World Championships in Italy
