This page is Austin's original fan club for the San Diego Chargers. The San Diego Charger Fans in Austin was started by Charger fans for Charger fans. Our goal is to coordinate meet-ups for like-minded fans to share their favorite Charger memories, all while making new ones with the local Charger fan base. As Charger fans, we want to get out in numbers to show support for our Bolts. What started a
s only 2 Charger fans meeting up at local sports bars hoping to catch the Charger games in 2010 has evolved into something much larger. In 2011, Weirdos owner, and San Diego native, offered to host the Chargers weekly, and become the official bar of the San Diego Charger Fans in Austin. The 2011 season brought fans together from Austin, San Antonio, Round Rock, and all over Central Texas to cheer their Super Chargers to victory every Sunday. Unfortunately, Weirdos closed their doors after the 2012 season. In 2013, The Upper Decks became the new official bar of the San Diego Charger Fans in Austin. The Star Bar offered to host our group after The Upper Decks unexpectedly closed during the 2013 season. The Star Bar continued to be host the group thru the 2014 season. The Rattle Inn hosted the San Diego Charger Fans in Austin during the 2015 and 2016 season. In the future we expect to see our numbers continue growing as the word spreads about our presence. In 2017, we found a new home at Shiner's Saloon on Congress Ave. Come join us as we cheer for the Bolts and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow Charger fans. Go Bolts!
