On May 8th, 2026, the city of Mönchengladbach, represented by the mayor and city council, inaugurated the naming of this square surrounding his birthplace as “Joseph Pilates Platz.” This is the result of the endless efforts of the International Pilates Heritage conference team. It is a living tribute to the legacy of Joseph and Clara Pilates — a space for authentic practice, the study of origins, and the preservation of the Method in its essence.

Today in Mönchengladbach, Germany Lo**ta San Miguel reached her dream of dedicating a Platz in Joseph Pilates hometown. This has been in process since 2011. Today it happened . The Mayor, City Council., Ministry of sports , Lo**ta, Kathy Corey and many other people were there. Kathy was the force that brought it to Life. So honored to be there, so honored to support Lo**ta and her dreams, and so amazed by Kathy and bringing it to fruition.
