Balcones Springs Stables was born in 2016 as the name for the year-round horseback riding lesson program at Camp Balcones Springs, which was established in 1993. I absolutely agree. Just because a horse doesn't fit your main ideal, doesn't mean it can't be used for something else. One of my personal horses, he doesn't do well in lessons, but he makes a superb trail horse for all riding levels. As a trainer, you have to be able to work with your horses strengths, as well as their weaknesses.
