Akira Tohei Sensei Memorial Seminar

“Akira Tohei, 8th degree black belt, was one of the most senior Aikido instructor in the United States and one of the technical directors of the United States Aikido Federation. Tohei Shihan practiced Aikido over 50 years and was a direct disciple of O-Sensei, Morihei Ueshiba, the Founder of Aikido.”

He was also our dojo Founder’s teacher and his body work represents the technical through line for the aikido perspective being learned and practiced at our dojo today. In memory and honor of his great influence we are
pleased to have Dan Palmer Sensei, a senior-student of Tohei Sensei, join us to lead us in classes next weekend.
