September swim lessons are open at Townlake YMCA! We have openings on weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings. This also includes our adult classes!!!!

Boston Marathon: Tales from the Front Lines, Part I - Ready to Run Even given ideal conditions, marathons are challenging: everyone knows that. But what if you train for months, meet a tough qualifying time, and get to the start of the Boston Marathon and you’re greeted by gale force winds, driving rain, and freezing temperatures? What do you do?

SO PROUD of the 3 athletes I coach that ran Boston yesterday. If you haven't already heard....IT WAS THE WORST CONDITIONS EVER IMAGINED for a marathon (38 degrees and howling wind/rain). One was a first time marathon runner (he's only been running just over a year) and finished in 3.43!!!!!! The other 2 rocked it solid - female finish in 3.28 and her boyfriend in 3.30! Incredible results and shows some amazing resilience for sure.

Boston Marathon 2018: Americans dominate both races; Desiree Linden, Sarah Sellers finish 1-2 Linden is the first American woman to win in Boston since 1985 and American women nabbed five of the top six spots. American men finished third and fourth behind Japan's Yuki Kawauchi.
