Introducing our Summer Highlight Series! ☀️✨
Our dancers bring the same passion and dedication to everything they do — both in the studio and out in the world. Over the coming weeks, we’re excited to share what our company artists have been up to this past summer — from guest performances and festivals to personal milestones and everything in between.
First up: company dancer Colin Canavan.
“This summer was full of exciting moments! I returned to Chautauqua Institution to perform in a full-length ballet after attending as a student in 2016 and 2019, and I also had the opportunity to dance in New York City for the first time at the DUMBO Dance Festival. Most exciting of all, I graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler with a Master of Science in Human Resource Development, along with certificates in Talent Development & Workplace Learning and Organizational Development & Leadership. I’m incredibly proud of the hard work I’ve put into earning this degree over the past two years while dancing professionally with Ballet Austin, and I’m excited to carry what I’ve learned with me both onstage and in the studio!”

We’re less than two months from Fête, our signature black tie fundraising gala, and we want to take a moment to thank the people behind what will be an extraordinary evening supporting the Ballet Austin mission. ✨
Thank you to our 2026 Chairs — Kate Stoker and Melissa Constantinides — and our committee members for bringing this event to life.
Tickets and tables are still available, and we look forward to seeing you October 16th at the JW Marriott.

Happy Birthday to company dancer Tristin Filsinger! 🎉✨
Raised primarily in Eureka, California, Tristin earned a full merit scholarship to Boston Ballet School's Pre Professional program at just twelve years old before continuing his studies at Butler University on a full merit scholarship, where he earned a BFA in dance.
Since joining Ballet Austin in 2023, Tristin has brought elegance and artistry to a variety of performances, including BUBBLEGUM, The Pink Confetti Dance and the Trepak Dance in The Nutcracker.
Wishing Tristin a wonderful birthday and a year as bright as his presence on the stage. 💫

Shakespeare walked so rom-coms could run. Too bad our lovers are all running in the wrong direction! 🏃
Find out what happens when one mischievous fairy sends them on an unexpected journey. There's magic, mistaken identities, and more laughs than you’d ever expect from a ballet. 🤭
A Midsummer Night’s Dream is coming to Ballet Austin — share with someone who needs a fun night out and a good laugh. ✨
