Voices Against Violence (VAV) is a program the Counseling and Mental Health Center of the University of Texas at Austin.

VAV addresses issues of interpersonal violence on campus. Voices Against Violence (VAV) addresses issues of relationship violence, sexual violence and stalking. Our programs are designed to serve the needs of the diverse UT population with information, education, training, advocacy, counseling and referral services.

Need to speak to someone?
If you would like to speak to a counselor trained in issues related to relationship violence, sexual violence and stalking, call the UT Counseling and Mental Health Center (CMHC) at 471-3515, Mon-Fri. from 8am-5pm and request a "VAV appointment" when scheduling.

If you need to see someone immediately, please come to CMHC (5th floor of the SSB) and ask to see a Crisis Counselor. No appointment is necessary.

If you would like to speak to someone over the phone confidentially and anonymously, please call the CMHC Crisis Line at 512-471-CALL (2255) (UT Students Only). Available 24/7/365.
