Dismisses your thoughts or words

Invalidates your feelings

Withholds appropriate love or affection

Represses emotional support.

It's foolish and selfish to expect someone you've abandoned to stick around.

It's wild that as a grown woman I've fallen out with more "grown" people over their false belief that I'm going to allow them to speak to me in any ol' way. Folks have the AUDACITY to believe I'm letting 💩 slide. Of course I'm going to address it. Your reaction to my remark absolutely determines our next interaction or lack thereof.

It's become a breath of fresh air when you can share what you're not ok with and folks respond with a commitment to be better that it can be forgotten that that's the NORMAL response highlighting what is always true -

People who CARE about you CARE about how they make you feel PERIODT 👌🏾
