Grow at Poppy

​

Katie Meissner (M.Ed) never envisioned staying at home. Her experience in curriculum development and training led her down many exciting paths across several industries. However, after returning to work following the birth of her first son, she knew something wasn’t right. After many tearful mornings, intimidating corporate pumping rooms, and heavy heart-to-hearts, she ultimately put her career “on hold” to focus on her growing family. Katie hopes that Poppy provides not just the support she had trouble finding, but an avenue back into the workforce for new parents who aren’t quite ready to take the leap into full-time childcare or full-time on-site employment. Aside from growing Poppy, Katie enjoys any opportunity to use her label maker, inventing new toddler-friendly baking recipes, indulging in murder mystery shows and being on #teamboymoms.

We understand the desire to be present for every child milestone while also wanting a successful career. Our goal is to create a community where parents and children can coexist and develop personally and professionally. While parents utilize the productive coworking space to finish a proposal, meet with a client, or follow their dreams, children spend their time at Poppy immersed in a stimulating, nurturing and experiential learning-based program. And it all happens just a few feet away from each other.
