Have you ever wondered what a lesson at Camp sounds like? 🎙️ We mic’d up with one our wonderful Trainers, Miss Grace 👋, so you can experience one with us!

Our campers get one lesson each day at Camp (weather permitting 🤞)!! Our goal is always to come back to the fundamentals of good equitation. Whether it’s a camper’s very first time riding or their tenth (or beyond!!!), Camp is designed to build a strong foundation and real confidence. And some of the best learning comes straight from our horses themselves!

Everything we’ve learned all week comes together at our Friday Horse Show! 🐴🤎 Our Trainers design a brand new course every week (a set pattern that our riders have to memorize)! We practice then show it off for family and friends 🏆

One of our favorite parts of Camp is the balance between structured and free play! We have our dedicated time to focus and learn during our riding lessons, barn lessons, and group games…. but letting our creativity run wild is just as important!

On any given day, the Camp House is full of “roly poly houses”, mini room designs, horse “brands,” and endless drawings and pictures. The ideas these campers come up with alongside their incredible counselors never gets old.

Rain won’t keep us from our Horse Show! ☔🐴 Last week, we welcomed family and friends to the New Barn for one of our favorite Camp traditions! Our Friday Horse Show gives our campers the opportunity to showcase everything they’ve been learning throughout the week. We love getting to celebrate our campers and their hard work!!

Here at Camp, we do a little bit of everything… horseback riding, barn lessons, barn chores, swimming, arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor games… the list goes on! But when those Texas afternoons heat up, we’re always looking for fun new ways to cool off together 💦☀️

Our incredible Counselors in Training (CITs), Junior Counselors, and Senior Counselors are the true heart of Camp!! 🤎🐴

They work so incredibly hard to help keep our campers and horses safe, encourage campers during their lessons, share their horse knowledge, solve problems, and do a thousand and one other little things that make Camp such a special place to be.

For many of them, this is their very first job!! What a privilege it is to watch them step into leadership and service with such joy. We talk a lot about tenacity at Camp, and they all go above and beyond to exemplify just that.

After all of today’s fantastic horse shows, we ended the week with our patriotic parade (or, as we like to call it, our “fancy festive walk”). Campers, and counselors, and families marched all around our beautiful Switch Willo Stables property!! It was quite the sight!! The horses were definitely sticking their heads out of their stalls to see what all the festive commotion was about! 👀🐴🤎

These are the little moments that become lifelong memories. Wishing all of our camp families a safe and joyful Fourth! 🇺🇸
