Training cues are funny. Different cues work for different people. These are the ones I find work well for most BUT there are always exceptions.

Like one time I had a client who was arching his back too much on deadlifts and couldn’t figure out how to straighten his spine.

Finally I said, “bro, protect your b*tthole just a little bit”

And just like that, he fixed it perfectly 😂

Because you don’t rise to the level of your goals.

You fall to the level of your systems.

You want better results? You need better systems.

Let’s fix that 🤘🏼

Massive limiting belief thinking that “consistency” and “perfection” are the same thing - and it’s exactly why you keep skipping the gym or ordering DoorDash every time life throws the tiniest wrench in your plans.

Chasing perfection will have you frustrated AF, being mean to yourself, and constantly battling to escape the guilt / shame spiral of “WHY IS THIS SO HARD??”

Bruh, it’s hard cause you’re making it hard by expecting that you’re gonna be able to be perfect even when life is not.

Consistency is knowing that something is better than nothing. If you don’t have time for a 1 hour workout, you hit 30 mins. If you don’t have food prepped for your plan, you macro-match to still hit your targets.

Not perfect, but consistent.

And guess what - you’ll learn how to adapt to changing circumstances to stay even more consistent and more on plan as you go.

But that doesn’t happen if you’re riding the roller coaster of “perfection or bust”

Being alone with your thoughts makes you uncomfortable?

You should lean into that.

“S**t, I don’t have enough chicken in the fridge. I can’t follow my plan. Might as well order DoorDash”

Ya that’s why ur stuck bruv

You don’t need to be perfect.
You need to be consistent.

Your plan calls for 140g of chicken breast but you don’t have any left?
You can adapt.
Not give up and order DoorDash…ADAPT

Get the same amount of protein from egg whites, protein powder, canned tuna, tuna packets, 99% ground turkey, that old frozen tilapia in the bottom of your freezer, hell grab a rotisserie chicken (peel the skin) to hit your protein target for that meal.

There are hundreds of ways to adapt and still hit your targets.

Learning how to adapt is the ONLY way this is sustainable.

Life’s gonna change, dawg. You gotta learn how to roll with the punches or you’ll be stuck in body purgatory forever.

So if you don’t know how to adapt your plan, or if it slips into “all or nothing”

You don’t have a plan.
You have a prison.

And that’s why you keep getting stuck.

Adversity is your advantage
The obstacle is the way

That man doesn’t guess and he doesn’t miss
He might not be perfect, but he’s consistent AF
He doesn’t self-negotiate
He makes promises and keeps them
He prioritizes his sleep and digestion
He knows exactly how much protein, carbs, and fats his body needs
He has a step goal and hits it daily
He doesn’t rely on motivation
He’a disciplined
He sticks to the plan
He trains hard AF (not just to mild discomfort like a baby-back-bitch)
He doesn’t take shortcuts
He sets the standard for himself and his family
He walks the walk
He leads from the front
He embodies the habits, routines, and mindset that his kids will grow up with
S**t even his friends and close circle live their lives in similar ways. He doesn’t surround himself with mediocrity.

People might look at him and see the physique.

I see the man he had to become to achieve it.

Maybe it actually was John Cena…😂
