The need for volunteers is great and will be ongoing for months to come 🙏
HERO has officially taken over in and although A LOT of progress has been made volunteers are needed 🫵
I found a picture of a little girl that was somehow preserved and heard stories from other volunteers how people would just show up, take a picture before driving off.
I have mixed emotions but plan on making the 1 hour drive either weekly or biweekly for the rest of the year. HMU if you want to join, have a chainsaw or other equipment 👋

From Shady Creek to Jonestown 👇
🚴 I parked about a mile away and biked to a volunteer tent where I met Jenee, who was the acting volunteer coordinator on the ground in Shady Creek.
She created a messaging system to connect volunteers to the needs of those affected.
👩⚕️Nurses were onsite providing IV drips to volunteers.
🚗 I was quickly sent to Jonestown to assist another crew to begin clearing out what was left of a trailer or RV park.
There's going to be A LOT of need in the coming months so please consider making the drive to help your fellow Texans in need 🙏
10 years ago I saw this in Wimberly as a volunteer. Although it did mentally prepare me it still doesn't make sense.
