Shout out to Gennaro Santucci who studied with us at The Music Note! He is entering his senior year at Duquesne. Check out his bio and website! I couldn’t be prouder of him!

Gennaro Santucci is a Pittsburgh-based audio engineer, vocalist, and musician whose work combines technical expertise with a passion for music and performance. He is currently studying Music Technology at Duquesne University, with a focus on sound recording, while continuing to develop a diverse professional portfolio in both audio production and vocal performance. Prior to beginning his studies at Duquesne, Gennaro studied with Christopher Brewer at The Music Note.

As an audio engineer, Gennaro has experience working across a wide range of musical styles and with numerous instruments. His work includes recording and mixing, live sound, post-production and editing, film audio, podcast production, voiceover and voice acting projects, and Foley and sound effects. His approach to engineering centers on understanding the artistic vision behind each project and using recording and production techniques to transform that vision into a polished, professional final product.

In addition to his work behind the mixing board, Gennaro is an accomplished vocalist with approximately seven years of professional vocal training. His performance experience spans a variety of musical styles, genres, and languages and includes work as a soloist, ensemble singer, and band vocalist. He previously spent two years performing with the Pappart Chorale and is currently a member of Midnight Iris, a band he co-founded.

Gennaro also maintains an active career as a solo artist, with music available on major streaming platforms. His versatility as both a performer and audio professional gives him a unique understanding of the recording process from both sides of the microphone. Whether engineering a recording session, performing on stage, or collaborating with other musicians, Gennaro brings creativity, musicianship, technical knowledge, and a commitment to excellence to his work.
