Sprinting at high intensities develops acceleration, maximum velocity, force production, and the ability to apply force rapidly into the ground. It also exposes athletes to the speeds and demands they need to prepare for in competition.
Consistently training at high speeds helps develop the physical qualities required to perform at a higher level.
Quality matters. Prioritize proper mechanics, adequate recovery, and intentional sprint exposure.
