In Memoriam: Benjamin Satterley — The Man Gravity Forgot, Never to Be Forgotten
The professional wrestling world was hit with a devastating blow. Benjamin Satterley, known universally inside the squared circle as PAC and Neville, has passed away at the age of 40. Just twenty-four hours after going to war against Andrade El Ídolo inside the ring at AEW’s All Out, the warrior from Newcastle upon Tyne laid down his sword for the final time.
In a business filled with smoke, mirrors, and pretenders, Benjamin Satterley stood apart as pure steel. He did not ask for respect; he commanded it through relentless discipline, undeniable physicality, and an unmatched intensity between the ropes. He lived by the warrior code: execute with precision, punish without remorse, and never compromise the standard of ring work.
A Career Built on Grind and Iron: The Accomplishments
Across more than two decades, Satterley set a global benchmark that few men on earth could ever touch:
The International Trailblazer: Starting out in the gritty British independent circuit in 2004, he took his craft to Japan with Dragon Gate, capturing the Open the Dream Gate Championship, Open the Brave Gate Championship, and multiple tag titles, proving early on that he was a world-class competitor.
The Foundation of NXT: Re-emerging in WWE as Adrian Neville, he became the bedrock of NXT. He captured the NXT Tag Team Championship twice and went on to hold the NXT Championship for a commanding 286 days.
The Undisputed King of the Cruiserweights: On WWE's main roster, he dropped the flashy antics, sharpened his edge, and dominated 205 Live as a two-time WWE Cruiserweight Champion, completely redefining what a high-flyer looked like.
A Corner of Death Triangle & Inaugural Glory: Arriving in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in 2019, he became the first-ever AEW All-Atlantic Champion (later the International Championship). Alongside the Lucha Brothers (Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix) in Death Triangle, he captured the AEW World Trios Championship twice, later bringing his trademark ferocity to the Death Riders.
Unmatched In-Ring Prowess: From the jaw-dropping perfection of the Red Arrow (Black Arrow) to the bone-snapping torture of The Brutalizer, Satterley combined heavyweight intensity with aerial mastery that earned him the moniker "The Man That Gravity Forgot."
Gone, But Never Forgotten
True warriors don’t fade into history; their legacy is etched into the canvas they bled on. Benjamin Satterley was a gladiator who respected the ring, honored the battle, and gave every drop of energy to the craft until the very end. The ringside world feels the silence today, but the standard of excellence he demanded will echo through locker rooms for generations.
Rest in peace You will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.
