The club was formed in 1929 by a group of hunters, fishers and con­ser­va­tion­ists. Since its found­ing the club has expanded its role and offers its ser­vices to the com­mu­nity at large. The club focuses on four key areas:

- Pre­serv­ing the club and prop­erty as a cher­ished his­tor­i­cal insti­tu­tion and site
- Pro­mot­ing com­mu­nity activ­i­ties and participation
- Encour­ag­ing fam­ily a

ctiv­i­ties and pro­vid­ing sup­port­ing venues
- Pro­vid­ing a safe envi­ron­ment for sport­ing activities

Sporting Activities currently offered:

- Archery Range Practice and Lessons on a Sheltered Fully-Lighted Shooting Line
- Pistol Range with a variety of Lessons for Men, Women and Kids
- Sh***un Sports: American Trap & 5-Stand on Lighted Trap Shooting Range
- R***e Range: 100 yard range currently undergoing renovation

Are you curious about handguns or an experienced pistoleer? Come and join other women in practicing and improving your marksmanship! This supportive and non-competitive event is the ideal environment to enhance and improve your comfort and skills when handling handguns. There will be fi****ms for you to try out and Safety Officers available to assist.

You do NOT need to be a member to attend this event. This is a FREE event open to the public. It's Saturday August 22, 1-3pm at the Bainbridge Island Sportsmen's Club.

This year club Vice-President Matthijs Mullender presented the Bainbridge Island Sportsmen's Club Scholarship to Casey Schmidt. Casey impressed us with her summers in South Africa setting up wildlife monitoring grids, collecting biodiversity data that researchers around the world now use. She also taught herself statistical analysis to study deep-sea ecosystems.

This fall she will head to UC Santa Barbara to study Marine Science, where she will do original research from day one.

Each year we award a scholarship to an island senior who plans to study an environmental or outdoor related science, furthering our mission since 1929 to enjoy and protect Washington's outdoors.
