The horses are pastured for the summer. With this heat, riding is not available.

The horses are spending time in pasture this summer. I’m not sure when they’ll return but I can always use a hand grooming. If anyone is interested in spending some horse time with me let me know.
Losing Moulin effects is all. The herd is mourning the loss of their friend.
I will be using the time of their absence to work on the arena and prepare for next winter.
Have a happy thanksgiving everyone! I’ll be giving the horses Thursday and Friday off. See you next week!
Lessons are starting up again. I’m working full time so times are limited. I’m not doing the drop in class so check in with me to reserve your time slot.
Riding lessons are on hold until I get the new arena space set up. Hopefully by September. I envision private or semi private in the future.
Meanwhile I am looking for a working student who can come and walk the horses under saddle with me. The footing isn’t appropriate for work but the horses need riding.
Candidates should be at least 15 years old and have a passion for horses.
For vaulting, participants should wear leggings or loose fitting clothes - this is gymnastics! Soft soled shoes or ballet type slippers are best for the horses back. Those in hard soled shoes may not be allowed to stand on the horse (but you can stand on the barrel for practice!)
For riding, heeled boots, preferably full calf length although ankle high boots work well too. Lessons are offered in English jump style or dressage saddles and regular cowboy boots tend to get caught in the skirt and make life harder. I have a community helmet - everyone must wear a helmet when riding under saddle! I also encourage gloves for riders.
For all activities, long hair should be pulled back or braided.
Drop in Vaulting - no appointment necessary - every Tuesday and Thursday at 4 pm and Saturdays at 1 pm (weather permitting)
Riding lessons are private only and require reservation.
